Bengaluru-based bike-sharing platform Bounce announced that it has received all necessary approvals for its retro fit electric scooter. The company on Saturday also invited its users living in Bengaluru for free test rides of the electric scooter.

Founded in 2014 by Vivekananda, Varun Agni, and Anil G, Bounce aims to provide consumers with a cost-effective micro-mobility solution for first and last-mile travel.

“Our retro fit EV is ready. We got our approvals,” Bounce CEO Vivekananda HR, mentioned in a tweet.

The latest development comes two months after Bounce received homologation certification, which approves every part of the vehicles including components like lamps, mirrors, tires and more, from International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT) for its self-assembled two-wheeler electric vehicles (EV).

Meanwhile, the company is providing an opportunity for those who are looking for cash flows beyond their salaries by providing an option to invest in used scooter/list existing scooter and rent it through Bounce.
