Prolance, a SaaS company for interior design, has raised $2 Mn (INR 16 Cr) in a Pre-Series A round of funding from Fundamental and Axilor. Arali Ventures and Force Ventures also participated in the round.
With the latest funds, Prolance intends to broaden its product offerings and increase its geographic reach.
Prolance, Founded in 2020 by Rama Harinath K, Vivek Parasuram, Raghunath Gururajan, Jaisimha Sathyanarayana, and Manoj K, assists in automating tasks related to interior design, such as creating CNC files, setting up furniture and fixtures, and delivering estimates. Additionally, it aids in the acquisition of supplies for home improvement projects.
Interior designers, design firms, architects, builders, material suppliers, and panel manufacturing facilities are the main clients of Prolance. It claims to have reduced delivery times by almost 40% and project expenses by 20%.
Nandan Venkatachalam, Principal and B2B Lead at Axilor, said, “Prolance is looking to automate the fragmented and highly complex $60 Bn interior design market in India. The team comes in with in-depth experience in the space, which gives them a unique advantage on product, distribution, and value addition to customers via its cloud manufacturing platform.”
In addition to it, Harinath K said, “Prolance started with the mission to transform the interior design industry through technology, and our goal is to become the operating system for the Interior industry. Our growth in the last two years, along with near-universal appreciation from our clients is a testament to the strengths of our SaaS-based marketplace for interior design professionals.”
Prolance said that it has worked with prominent interior designing firms such as Godrej Interio, SquareYards, Landmark, Pepperfry, and NoBroker. It further stated that over 1000 smaller interior companies are presently using its platform.
