TravClan, a B2B travel tech startpup has raised $4.7Mn in a funding round led by Hashed Emergent Fund and global marquee angel investors.
Nick Talwar (CEO of Circle Up), Aayush Phumbra, former co-founder of Chegg, Travis Katz, former co-founder of Trip.com, Pritesh Gupta former co-founder of Zipgo, and Vikram Chopra and Mehul Agrawal co-founders of Cars24 are some angel investors that participated in TravClan’s current funding round.
The Delhi based startup is looking to double its investment in product and technology with a vision of scaling it ten times over the next year. It raised $2.2Mn in a Pre-Series A funding round in July 2021 from TheVentures, a Korea and Singapore-based venture capital firm, and Leo Capital led the investment round, along with other global and marquee angel investors. In total, TravClan has raised $5.7Mn in total funding since its inception in October 2018.
TravClan, founded by Arun Bagaria, Chirag Agrawal, Ashish Thapliyal, encourages travel agents and new age travel entrepreneurs to build and grow travel business online by setting up websites in a short period of time and selling products digitally.
The startup has grown approximately twenty times during the Covid-19 pandemic and is hoping to secure a $100Mn GMV in this quarter with a positive contribution margin.
With its expansion in eight cities in India, Dubai and Singapore,TravClan plans to launch operations in the US and Southeast countries over the next 12 months.
