The Founder of Flatheads, Ganesh Balakrishnan who recently came to Shark Tank India to raise investment for his organization and succeeded in impressing the sharks. His pitch has become viral on social media and many opined that they saw a true entrepreneur in him.
Ganesh Balakrishnan, in a recent LinkedIn post has mentioned that they have almost sold out the inventory in India.
The company, Flatheads is the enterprise from Balakrishnan, he has started two other enterprises earlier which aren’t a success. He is an alumnus of IIM Bangalore and IIT Bombay. He started Flatheads in the month of August in 2018. This company makes shoes from sustainable materials and the price ranges between INR 1000 and INR 5000.
During the episode, Bansal offered INR 75 lakh for 33% stake in the company, but Balakrishnan hasn’t accepted the offer. And Anupam Mittal, founder of Shaadi.com has offered him a job.
Post the episode, Balakrishnan’s pitch began trending on social media. The budding entrepreneur from Bengaluru, who is facing a working capital shortage, has now claimed that his inventory has been “sold out”.
As per the recent LinkedIn post of Ganesh Balakrishnan, he has written that “We’ve almost sold out our inventory in India, so pardon us if you aren’t able to find your size on www.flatheads.in. Would be amazing if you can tell your friends in the US and UAE to try our shoes”.
He mentioned that his 10-year-old daughter is a fan of Peyush’s no-nonsense mindset.
He has also written, “Breaking down on national TV isn’t exactly great for one’s self-confidence. What I definitely didn’t expect is the episode to be received the way it has been, and it is very very heartening to see that people are applauding the entrepreneurial spirit – of all startup founders, with me as a proxy”.
Along with this, Ganesh Balakrishnan thanked all the judges Anupam Mittal, Namita Thapar, Aman Gupta, Vineeta Singh and Peyush Bansal for helping him to get some perspective in this.
