The company has announced the launch of UDS Monitor, a new functionality integrated into UDS Enterprise 4.0 that allows intelligent monitoring of server usage and automating the deployment of new resources when demand increases in virtual application environments and desktop sessions.
This new Virtual Cable capability introduces an intelligent monitoring and automatic autoscaling system that allows organizations to dynamically adapt their Digital Workplace infrastructure to the number of users and the actual system load, supported by continuous performance monitoring.
Server Usage Thresholds
Until now, the deployment of new servers and their configuration had to be done manually by IT teams, with little real-time monitoring. With UDS Monitor, the administrator simply defines server usage thresholds, and the system automatically detects when those limits are reached thanks to its advanced monitoring capabilities.
When the number of users or resource consumption begins to saturate a server, UDS Monitor identifies the load growth through active monitoring and automatically deploys a new one, configured according to defined policies. This constant monitoring allows you to balance the system and maintain a stable user experience.
This approach makes it possible to improve the resilience of the Digital Workplace, avoid saturation and optimize infrastructure management in environments with high variability of users, such as Public Administrations, large corporations or educational environments, where monitoring is key to anticipating peaks in demand.
In addition, Virtual Cable anticipates that this functionality will continue to evolve in future versions of the platform. The product roadmap contemplates incorporating capabilities that will automatically detect, through intelligent monitoring, when there are underused resources and eliminate unnecessary servers, which optimizes infrastructure consumption and reduces operating costs.
