Veeam Software, the leading Data and AI Trust company, has announced the Veeam DataAI Command Platform during its VeeamON 2026 event held in New York City. This platform marks a decisive milestone for enterprise technology and the agentic era: the creation of an entirely new category of infrastructure, designed specifically for a world where autonomous AI agents operate within the enterprise at machine speed, driven by data.

DataAI Command Platform is the result of Veeam’s acquisition of Securiti AI, the number one platform in data security and AI, combined with Veeam’s twenty years of leadership in resiliency and data protection for more than 550,000 customers in more than 150 countries, including 77% of the Global 2000 companies.

“The infrastructure to deploy AI already exists. The infrastructure to trust it does not yet. With the DataAI Command Platform, Veeam is building the missing layer, combining resiliency, security, governance, compliance and privacy into a single platform,” says Anand Eswaran, CEO of Veeam. “Today, agents need access to data, which means we must open the security perimeter. This means that the security checkpoint is now the data itself, requiring a new approach to trust that can accelerate the safe use of AI.”

The crucial challenge of the agentic era

Companies have entered the agentic era. Autonomous AI agents outnumber human employees by a ratio of 82:1, and 97% of these agents have excessive privileges. The volume and speed of agent operation dramatically reduces the margin available to detect and respond to threats. Agentic AI is now the leading cyber threat.

Veeam DataAI Command Platform

Veeam DataAI Command Platform is the point of convergence between data, access, identities and AI into a single connected layer of trust for AI. It spans both production data and backup data, covering all agents, identities and models across an organization’s IT infrastructure. The platform is based on six integrated capabilities:

  • DataAI Command Graph. The intelligence base that drives the entire platform. With more than 300 connectors across cloud environments, SaaS applications, and on-premises environments, the graph provides a granular understanding of data: not only does it identify which databases exist, but which specific file contains sensitive information, who has access, and what specific change generated a compromise condition. Uniquely, the graph simultaneously encompasses active and backup systems, a context that no point solution on the market currently offers.
  • DataAI Security. Powered by the market-leading DSPM platform*, it provides advanced data security posture management and AI, combined with identity intelligence and resilience confidence in a unified view.
  • DataAI Governance. Governance applied directly at the source of the data, not at the agent. Known and unknown actors, whether authorized or unauthorized, cannot access sensitive data if it is governed at the source. This closes the structural gap of runtime-only agent governance approaches.
  • DataAI Compliance. Mapped to over 100 regulatory frameworks, including the EU AI Act, DORA, GDPR, HIPAA, NIST and the AI Risk Management Framework. Generate the auditable evidence that regulators and boards of directors need.
  • DataAI Privacy. Automated privacy policies applied in real time from the origin, by user and jurisdiction. Powered by the industry’s most advanced identity intelligence graph (People Data Graph) that unifies structured and unstructured personal data across hybrid multi-cloud environments, enabling faster and more accurate privacy operations than traditional siled data mapping tools.
  • DataAI Precision Resilience. Twenty years of recovery leadership, now evolved to respond to threats at machine speed. Because DataAI Command Graph understands your data environment in great detail, recovery is surgical: you restore exactly what went wrong without having to restore the entire system. Along with the DataAI Command Platform, Veeam has announced a preview of the platform’s first two resilience solutions. Veeam Intelligence ResOps for M365 brings all the intelligence of the DataAI Command Graph to the world’s most used SaaS platform. Additionally, the new DataAI Resilience module in DataAI Command Platform gives existing Veeam Data Platform customers access to the platform’s multi-domain intelligence and agentic capabilities, without the need for new migrations.

Other announcements made at VeeamON 2026

Veeam also announces the preview of Veeam Data Platform 13.1, Veeam Intelligence ResOps, and the Veeam Data and AI Trust Maturity Model. This new model is based on data and insights from more than 300 CIOs and CISOs. It provides a prescriptive framework of 4 pillars, 12 dimensions and 49 sub-dimensions across 5 maturity levels, allowing companies to assess their current situation and define a clear path to becoming fully AI-ready.
