Grogu can decorate your shelf as if it were alive, but you have to be prepared for a considerable expense. Is it worth it for this amount of detail?

Today is June 1, and that means you can openly nurture your inner child and give yourself a frivolous gift without fear of judgmental glances. If you are a fan of Star Wars – and specifically the Mandalore universe – I have a gift idea for you, inspired by the latest movie The Mandalorian and Grogu. This is not just any toy, but a real-sized figurine that impresses with the level of detail.

These figurines are a masterpiece – they look lifelike

Do you know The Hot Toys? This is a company from Hong Kong, known for the production of ultra-realistic collectible figurines – mainly from Star Wars and the Marvel universe, but the offer also includes heroes of DC, The Last of Us and Back to the Future. They are characterized by a huge amount of details and precision of workmanship, so they deserve to be called real collector’s gems. One of the latest products is the model of Grogu, the popular “Baby Yoda”, known from the Mandalorian series (Disney+) and its film version, The Mandalorian and Grogu, currently available in cinemas.

This is a 1:1 scale figure with carefully reproduced skin and hair, made of soft vinyl. Features magnetic elements and interchangeable hands that let you edit Grogu’s pose. There are also additional accessories, such as small explosives or a breastplate – these are gadgets referring to the new film.

Grogu looks phenomenal, but – as you probably guessed – you’ll have to pay a lot for this level of detail. The figure was valued at PLN 1,090, and pre-orders can be placed at this address. A lot of? Yes, but some Star Wars LEGO sets can fetch much higher prices and still sell well. For dedicated fans of the space universe, the phrase “too expensive” simply does not exist.
