The company Synology has held a new edition of its annual Solution Day event at the World Trade Center Barcelona, bringing together more than 125 professionals from the technology and business sector to present its latest innovations in data protection, intelligent video surveillance and private cloud.
The day, inaugurated by Chad Chiang, general director of Synology Europe, focused on the evolution of data as a pillar of companies and the new challenges posed by artificial intelligence. During his opening, Chiang highlighted the importance of keeping information accessible, protected and under control to face an environment marked by AI, cyber resilience and the growing convergence between local and cloud infrastructures.
Enterprise storage and data protection
Tomás Saiz, Project Manager Iberia at Synology, has presented the new features of ActiveProtect Manager 2.0, which incorporates anomaly detection capabilities using artificial intelligence to identify suspicious behavior in backups and reinforce protection against ransomware.
Also highlighted is PAS7700, Synology’s all-flash business storage system, which reaches up to 2 million IOPS and 30 GB/s of sequential performance, with a latency of less than 1 ms, according to the company’s internal tests. Its active-active dual controller architecture is designed to ensure the availability of critical business applications.
Smart video surveillance
Óscar Nuño, Regional Account Manager Iberia, has presented Synology’s latest intelligent video surveillance capabilities, highlighting the semantic video search using artificial intelligence, which allows recordings to be located using natural language.
Among the solutions presented, the DVA7400 stands out, capable of managing up to 100 video channels and executing up to 40 analysis tasks using AI, facilitating the investigation of incidents and the management of large facilities.
Private cloud and AI
Ignacio García, Regional Account Manager Iberia, has shown the evolution of Synology Office Suite and his vision of artificial intelligence applied to business productivity.
Among the new features presented is DSM Agent, an AI assistant integrated into the Synology ecosystem, designed to help administrators investigate security incidents, consult technical information and simplify their system management tasks.

The event included the participation of David López, Head of Systems and Networking at AMES Group Sintering, who explained how the company guarantees the continuity of its private cloud through Synology high availability, redundancy and disaster recovery solutions.
The company Netgear also participated in the event in the demonstration area, while Clara Saurí, Regional Sales Manager of Synology, presented the business opportunities offered by the company’s Partner Program.
