Dell Technologies announces the marketing of the new Dell Pro Rugged 13 Extreme and Dell Pro Rugged 14, two laptops designed specifically for professionals who need equipment capable of operating in the most extreme conditions. From utility technicians working to resolve infrastructure incidents in extreme weather conditions to emergency services professionals coordinating operations, these devices are designed to maintain productivity in even the most demanding situations.
Both devices in the Rugged family combine resilience, AI-ready performance and advanced connectivity, while giving IT departments tools to standardize and manage large fleets of devices.
Designed for extreme conditions
The Dell Pro Rugged 13 Extreme and Dell Pro Rugged 14 are MIL-STD-810H certified and rated to operate in temperatures between -28°C and 63°C, allowing them to be used in a wide variety of weather conditions. Its touch screens can be used with gloves and also respond in humid conditions.
Both models incorporate Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, which allow you to manage artificial intelligence tasks and background processes, maintaining the system’s responsiveness during long work days.
In terms of connectivity, both Rugged devices offer optional private 5G6, Wi-Fi 75 and GPS, facilitating access to networks and location services even in remote locations. Hot-swappable batteries allow you to replace them without interrupting the operation of the equipment.
They can also incorporate an RGB+IR camera of up to 5 MP to capture high-quality images and video in different environments.
The Dell Pro Rugged 13 Extreme and Dell Pro Rugged 14 also incorporate Rugged Control Center, integrated software that facilitates access to the main device settings. From configuring the GPS module to creating custom shortcuts for the hardware and other customization options, it allows you to adapt the equipment to the specific needs of each workstation.
Dell Pro Rugged 13 Extreme: maximum resistance
The Dell Pro Rugged 13 Extreme is the world’s most powerful and compact 13-inch fully rugged AI PC. With IP66 certification, it offers protection against dust and water and has passed drop tests from 1.8 meters.
- Performance. The computer incorporates integrated Intel® Arc™ graphics and up to 64 GB of LPDDR5X memory, providing the capacity to handle workflows that require high graphics and data processing, as well as multitasking tasks. For storage, it offers removable SSD and self-encrypting drive options, allowing organizations to tailor the device to their security and compliance requirements.
- Screen. The 13.3-inch FHD display reaches a brightness of up to 1,400 nits, making it easy to view even in direct sunlight.
Dell Pro Rugged 14: performance and mobility
The Dell Pro Rugged 14 is designed for professionals who need a high level of performance without giving up mobility. Weighing approximately 2.1 kg, it is the world’s most powerful and compact 14-inch semi-rugged AI PC.
The device offers protection against drops of up to 0.9 meters and is IP53 certified, which protects it from exposure to dust, dirt and water.
- Performance. To tackle demanding visualization, data analysis, and artificial intelligence tasks, it features an NVIDIA RTX PRO™ 500 Blackwell Generation laptop GPU. Plus, up to 64GB LPCAMM2 memory makes it easy for IT teams to upgrade or replace memory modules.
- Screen. Its 14-inch FHD screen with 16:10 format offers up to 1,100 nits of brightness and a wider aspect ratio, designed to facilitate consultation of documents, dashboards and professional applications.
- Vehicle coupling. The docking system incorporates quad passthrough, which improves connectivity and compatibility with third-party solutions. In addition, its design makes it easy to connect and disconnect the equipment, especially useful for professionals who usually work from vehicles.
Security and management for organizations
The new Dell Pro Rugged incorporate TPM 2.0, contact and contactless smart card readers, fingerprint readers and IR cameras compatible with Windows Hello for facial recognition.
For IT departments, devices are supported by cloud-based deployment, management and security tools.
The devices also feature Dell SafeID with ControlVault and built-in BIOS protections, making these devices the most secure Rugged PCs in the world(v). In addition, they incorporate protections resistant to quantum attacks.

Their differentiation is logical: the first prioritizes water resistance and mechanical durability, while the second sacrifices some protection to offer a dedicated GPU, expandable memory and better integration into vehicles.
