Iberdrola has launched one of the largest mixed reality experiences carried out to date in Europe on the occasion of the commemorative exhibition of its 125th anniversary. The initiative has 80 Apple Vision Pro devices, which allow visitors to enjoy an immersive tour in which the physical and digital worlds merge to discover in an innovative way the history of electricity and the evolution of the energy sector.
The experience, developed using spatial computing technology, proposes a journey through the main milestones of electricity, the trajectory of Iberdrola and the city of the future. As part of this anniversary, attendees can learn about the basic principles of electricity, discover the great pioneers who promoted its development and explore the most notable moments in the company’s history. The itinerary also offers a vision of the cities of the future, in which electrification, clean energy and digitalization will play a fundamental role.

The scope of the project, conceived to commemorate this anniversary through an innovative technological proposal, has required the development of a specific platform to centrally manage and monitor the 80 devices. This infrastructure makes it possible to synchronize experiences, control their operation and supervise equipment in real time, guaranteeing the operation of an installation of these characteristics.
