Accenture and OpenAI today announced a collaboration to help companies achieve new levels of innovation and growth by adopting agentic capabilities at the core of their operations.
As part of the agreement, Accenture will equip thousands of its professionals with ChatGPT Enterprise, using it for both consulting and operations and service delivery, and will help OpenAI scale its capabilities for the enterprise.
“By combining OpenAI’s revolutionary technologies with Accenture’s deep sector and functional expertise and our global delivery capabilities, we will accelerate business reinvention and business outcomes for our clients,” said Julie Sweet, president and CEO of Accenture. “We are also delighted to help OpenAI become your best credential.”
“Accenture plays a key role in helping companies adopt the technologies that define each new era, and we are delighted to partner to accelerate AI transformation in large enterprises,” said Fidji Simo, CEO of Applications at OpenAI. “In addition, Accenture is putting ChatGPT in the hands of tens of thousands of professionals to help teams and clients move faster, strengthen their workflows and generate true economic value through new digital capabilities.”
Scaling agentic AI in enterprises
To expand the impact of this collaboration, OpenAI and Accenture have launched a program that combines OpenAI’s enterprise products with Accenture’s AI expertise and sector knowledge. This program will provide Accenture with implementation guides, industry use cases, security and deployment information, and practical experience to help clients integrate AI into real-world processes, strengthening their operational capabilities.
The program will allow companies in sectors such as financial services, healthcare, public sector and retail to transform legacy processes into AI-powered workflows. It will also enable customers to adopt OpenAI agentic capabilities, innovative products, model advancements and new flows, faster and with greater integration across the organization.
OpenAI and Accenture will also collaborate on enterprise solutions focused on key functions such as customer service, supply chain, finance, human resources and other critical operations. For example, Accenture will use OpenAI AgentKit to help clients design, test and deploy custom AI agents that automate tasks, strengthen decision making and accelerate reinvention, thereby expanding their technological capabilities.
Intelligence integrated into Accenture
Thanks to this alliance, Accenture teams will be able to use ChatGPT Enterprise to support their internal and external work. With direct access to advanced models, Accenture will accelerate AI training across all roles, boosting the professional capabilities of its workforce.
In addition, it will reinforce its commitment to OpenAI certifications, creating the largest group of specialized professionals. By incorporating OpenAI technology and practices into consulting, operations and delivery, Accenture will apply its expertise to help clients scale their own adoption and strengthen their strategic capabilities.
