Adobe has introduced major new features to its Creative Cloud applications including Lightroom, Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator, designed to eliminate friction points, reduce tedious tasks and give creative professionals more power and control over their projects.

  • In Lightroom, the new features focus on faster selection, motion editing and sharper results, with new capabilities such as Face View, Stacking, Photo to Video and AI Sharpen.
  • In Premiere, the updates bring faster AI masking, new effects, smarter audio controls, and more integrated connections to Adobe Stock and Firefly, all without leaving the timeline.
  • In After Effects, new tools make the complex animation process faster, smarter, and more connected, from rotoscoping to 3D rendering and vector workflows.
  • In Photoshop, the latest updates offer finer control over cleaning and removing reflections, including Reflection Removal and a Remove tool with generative AI on-device and offline.
  • In Illustrator, the Concept to Vector feature helps you go from preliminary concepts to usable work faster, turning low-quality sketches or assets into clean, editable vector drafts.

Adobe Lightoom

Adobe is turning Lightroom into a comprehensive solution for your photography workflow, where you can organize, enhance, and edit your photos without leaving the app. This week’s updates make every stage of your process faster and more powerful.

Assisted Selection is now generally available, ready for the most demanding photo editor with improvements based on close collaboration with our photography community. Meanwhile, Photo to Video brings your images to life by transforming any photo into professional-looking backup sequences or reels with AI-generated motion using Firefly and Google Veo.

Adobe After Effects

From rotoscoping to 3D rendering to vector workflows, this week’s latest After Effects updates eliminate tedious work that creates friction and slows down your creative process.

The Object Matte tool reinvents rotoscoping with four AI-powered tools: Object Selection, Quick Selection, Selection Brush, and Refine Edge, replacing the Brush-only workflow. After Effects 3D receives a significant improvement, bringing your motion graphics work closer to a full 3D production.

Adobe Photoshop

The latest Photoshop updates, now available, give you finer control over cleaning and removing reflections: this feature automatically detects and removes reflections in images taken through glass. Highlights are isolated in a separate layer, giving you precise control over opacity for natural, non-destructive results.

Meanwhile, the Remove Now tool gives you access to a generative AI model on-device and offline, so your editing workflow doesn’t have to wait to be online.

Adobe Illustrator

Designers want tools that eliminate friction and speed up tedious workflows, without sacrificing creative control. Adobe recently introduced the new Concept to Vector feature, now available in Illustrator, to help professional designers go from preliminary concepts to usable work faster.

Concept to Vector turns low-quality sketches or assets into clean, editable vector drafts, or can generate multiple stylized variations from a single sketch or source image, directly within Illustrator.
