Adobe continues to apply important new features to its tools most admired by content creators and designers. On this occasion, it has presented powerful new innovations for Photoshop and Lightroom, providing them with design and photography tools.
The platform will allow us to offer greater control and speed in each part of the users’ creative process, from the initial draft to its final production. It will be possible to non-destructively adjust texture, atmosphere and sharpness directly in the Layers panel, as well as apply masks for precise control.
Generative upscaling is also a long-awaited feature, allowing you to upscale images in Photoshop with the unmatched flexibility and power provided by AI models from partner Topaz Labs. They instantly increase quality, clarity and sharpness.
Some of the great news announced
• Rotate the object in Photoshop is now generally available. What was once a tedious, multi-step process is now a fast, non-destructive workflow, allowing designers to tilt, rotate and recompose objects from new angles in real time. The result: it’s easier to explore ideas, refine quickly, and iterate freely without having to rebuild work from scratch.
• Layer Cleanup, originally introduced in Adobe MAX in October, has now arrived in Photoshop and intelligently declutters your layers by renaming and deleting empty ones, so you can focus on creating, not managing them.
Generative upscaling is also a long-awaited feature
• Firefly Boards now integrate seamlessly with both Photoshop and Lightroom and enable a seamless path from idea to creation, helping you go from initial idea to final result without breaking your creative workflow.
• Improved Search in Lightroom lets you find photos simply by describing what you’re looking for in your own words, making it faster and more intuitive to display exactly the photos you need.
• New film-inspired presets in Lightroom give you more creative control to deliver a nostalgic look, while performance improvements like faster and up to 5x faster Assisted Culling with interactive sliders help you handle big shoots with greater speed and precision.
