“Contrary to what many critics of AI think, reality is showing the positive impact of this technology,” comments Enric Quintero, CEO and founder of the Catalan consulting firm Datarmony. According to Quintero, companies dedicated to data analysis and the development of AI solutions are hiring software engineers, data scientists, analysts and Machine Learning experts at an unprecedented rate.
The expert highlights the creation of specialized AI departments within technology companies as a clear sign of the growing demand for these professional profiles. “Not only is AI not destroying jobs, but it is creating new positions that did not exist before,” he adds. Along these lines, the report “New technologies and employment in Europe” from the Bank of Spain confirms the success of sectors that employ highly qualified personnel.

Finally, entrepreneurship is also contributing to job creation for these new professionals. “Investors and accelerators are supporting startups with promising ideas in AI and data analytics, driving job creation as startups grow and expand their teams,” he concludes.
