The first round of elections is behind us, but one more vote is ahead of us. The second round of presidential elections is on June 1. Are you leaving? You will vote everywhere with a certificate. Check how to get them and can help you.

How to vote outside the place of residence?

The second round of elections, which will take place on June 1, will decide who will become the president of Poland – Karol Nawrocki or Rafał Trzaskowski. If you are outside the home on this day, you do not have to give up participation in such an important event for Poland. A certificate of voting will allow you to vote in any committee – in Poland or abroad.

What is a certificate of voting right?

This is a document that gives you the freedom to choose the voting place. Normally you are assigned to the polling station in the place of registration, but with the certificate you will vote in any committee – in Poland, abroad, and even on the Polish sea ship. If you have already used it in the first round (18 May), you know how it works. If not, I explain what’s going on.

Step 1: Get a certificate for the second round

To vote on June 1 outside the place of registration, you need a certificate from the Commune Office in which you are saved in the Central Register of Voters (usually where you have a report). You submit the application by May 29, 2025 at the latest-in person, by fax or sometimes online, if the municipality allows you to submit an e-wage (check on their website).

What does he have to be on it? name, surname, pesel, registered address and indicating that it is about the second round of presidential elections. You get the certificate immediately, for free. You can pick them up yourself or by someone with authorization. The deadline for submitting such an application was until May 15, so if you took a certificate then, you must repeat the process for the second round. Make sure the document because the municipalities do not issue duplicates!

If before the first round of elections (May 18) you arranged a certificate of voting right, you got two documents – one in the first round, the other for the second round.

Step 2: Find a voting place

You can vote with any commission in Poland with a certificate – you can find the list at Zelej.Gov.pl (“District Search engine” tab) or in the MOGNIA Citizen application. Abroad, the premises are in consulates or embassies – check at ewybory.msz.gov.pl. If you voted abroad in the first round, make sure that the place for the second round is in the same place and whether the opening hours agree, because the time differences may mix up a bit.

Step 3: Take the documents and vote

On June 1, take the certificate and identity document. In Poland, you need an ID card, driving license, student ID or Mobjatek. Abroad, you need a passport or ID card (only in the EU!). In the committee you give a certificate, enter you on the list and get a voting card.

What if something goes wrong?

You forgot about the certificate and the deadline has passed (May 29 for the second round)? You will not vote outside the place of registration unless you return to your premises. It was the same in the first round (The deadline for submitting applications for the election on May 18 was on May 15). The lost certificate is also a problem – unfortunately you will not get a new one.

Additional tips for those leaving
