Carrefour has announced an alliance with MIOTI Tech & Business School to promote training for SMEs through the “SME Digital Generation” program, with the aim of accelerating the digitalization of small companies in the agri-food sector through a practical and business-oriented training model.
The agreement is part of Carrefour’s commitment to the agri-food business fabric, reinforcing the role of its SME suppliers as strategic partners in the value chain and decisively betting on training for SMEs as a lever for competitiveness. MIOTI is the leading business technology school in Data Science, artificial intelligence and new technologies, and has a track record focused on technological training applied to business. The program, financed by NextGenerationEU funds within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, and promoted by the Secretariat of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence (SEDIA) of the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Service, in collaboration with the EOI FSP Foundation, has an eminently practical and business-oriented approach, aligned with the objectives of training SMEs in real environments.
Jorge Ybarra, Commercial Director of Carrefour, points out: “This agreement allows us to offer our SMEs the necessary tools to advance in digital transformation and incorporate Artificial Intelligence into their processes, reinforcing our commitment to training SMEs and facilitating their path to the future of food in Spain.”
Fabiola Pérez, co-founder and CEO of MIOTI Tech & Business School, highlighted: “The competitiveness of SMEs involves a practical and strategic adoption of technology, aimed at decision-making. This alliance with Carrefour allows us to contribute to reducing the digital divide, promoting training for SMEs and bringing advanced analytics and technological innovation closer to the agri-food business fabric.”
Training Program Calendar
The training will begin at the end of January 2026 and will last four months, addressing key content such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, cybersecurity, cloud and automation, applied to real cases in the business and agri-food environment. This approach reinforces the value of training for SMEs as an effective transformation tool. The itinerary is supported by MIOTI’s experience in the development of more than 300 data and AI projects applied to the digital transformation of organizations.
The program will have a faculty made up of active professionals and specialists in technology and digital transformation, and will be complemented with personalized mentoring to develop a viable Digital Transformation Plan, thus reinforcing training for SMEs from a strategic perspective.
The objective is to train the management teams of SMEs that work with Carrefour to internally lead technological adoption and accelerate the incorporation of solutions with an impact on processes, efficiency and decision making. In addition, in-person visits to leading companies and technology centers are planned to learn about real applications of technology in business and industry, consolidating training for SMEs as the axis of the program.
