Clio, a company specialized in legal AI, has announced an alliance with WOW Legal Experience, a legal design and technology consultancy based in Madrid, to support the adoption and integration of Clio technology in law firms in Spain.

In this way, WOW Legal Experience will offer implementation, migration and training services for Clio Work, Clio’s legal workspace powered by AI, and Clio Manage, its law firm management platform. This collaboration provides firms with a local team to work with as they transition to Clio’s intelligent legal work platform. Clio Work and Clio Manage now available in Spain under the vLex part of Clio brand.

Redesign workflows

Lawyers in Spain face the same technological pressures that are transforming the legal market worldwide. Artificial intelligence tools enable faster, higher-quality work as customer expectations evolve. Thus, to offer better support to legal professionals in Spain, Clio launched Clio Work and Clio Manage in September. However, for law firms, choosing the right technology is just the beginning of a broader transformation: you need to migrate files and templates, redesign workflows, and get everyone in the firm to adopt a new way of working.

In Spain, 88% of firms have a maximum of five lawyers, which means that the majority lack a designated employee to manage the technological transition. For this reason, Clio has partnered with WOW Legal Experience. This consulting firm, made up of 40 professionals, is fully integrated into the Spanish legal sector and focuses its activity on helping self-employed lawyers and small and medium-sized firms to adopt new tools.

«Every legal market needs local support, and Spain is no exception,” says Ferran Sala, general director of Clio in Spain. “Laws want to talk to someone who understands the nuances of the practice of law and business activity in their environment. WOW Legal Experience has been carrying out this work in Spain for years. Collaborating with their team allows firms across the country to get the operational support they need to focus on delivering exceptional results for their clients.”

“Small firms are busy growing their business and serving their clients,” WOW Legal Experience stated in a statement. “Devoting time to operational changes can be a challenge — that’s where we come in: we help firms implement the technology that transforms their operations, with a deep understanding of how firms operate in Spain. “We are excited to help law firms across the country implement Clio technology.”

In collaboration with Clio, WOW Legal Experience will support law firms throughout Spain in:

  • Migration and configuration: transfer of documents, contacts and file data to Clio.
  • Workflow configuration: adaptation of the platform to the firm’s way of working.
  • Tool Adoption Training: Firm-wide initial training, delivered in Spanish, to integrate new AI-based workflows.
  • Marketing and local events: round tables and dinners in Madrid and other locations, bringing together professionals from the Spanish legal sector to talk about the adoption of new technologies.

Clio’s platform transforms the business and practice of law

Clio Work and Clio Manage are part of Clio’s Intelligent Legal Work platform, which allows for more robust and agile legal work, in addition to simplifying the business operations of law firms.

Clio Work is the fastest adopted product in Clio’s history and is used by tens of thousands of legal professionals around the world. Operates directly in the context of legal matters, integrating documents, tasks, deadlines, communications with clients, notes and legal regulations to base the results on the work being performed. Clio Manage helps law firms manage their business, organize cases and collaborate with clients. The tool connects all matters, contacts and deadlines, reminds lawyers of upcoming tasks and provides real-time information on firm performance.

Together, they apply full subject context to all legal work, meaning research, analysis and writing are informed by names, timelines, key facts and previous decisions.
