The digital transformation no longer stops and, at the same time, the demands on IT teams are multiplied. And, companies should not only keep their traditional work loads alive, but also adopt modern container -based environments, advanced virtualization and hybrid deployments.
In this context, private cloud infrastructure gains prominence as a way to combine control, efficiency and safety. Dell Technologies has taken another step in this field with a new battery of solutions that seek to strengthen both cyber resilience and artificial intelligence automation.
The challenge of balance the traditional and the modern
One of the great current challenges for organizations is to simultaneously administer inherited workloads and new generation applications. To this are added the growing costs and the pressure to reduce the dependence of unique suppliers. To respond to these needs, Dell bets by disaggregated private clouds, with infrastructure that combines computation, storage and cyberbareresyliencia.
As part of that strategy, the company has integrated Dell Automation Platform with on-premises and Saas deployments. This layer allows to orchestrate hybrid environments in a flexible way, while the incorporation of Dell NativeEdge adds security and simplicity in distributed operations. All reinforced with Dell Aiops, which introduces artificial intelligence in infrastructure management to accelerate the resolution of incidents and improve the visibility of the systems.
Private cloud infrastructure gains prominence as a way to combine control, efficiency and safety
“In Dell Technologies, we are offering our clients solutions that not only respond to the current challenges of IT, but also anticipate the needs of tomorrow. Our latest advances in storage and cybercrafts are designed to help organizations to build smarter private clouds, safer and more prepared to handle the demands of traditional and modern work loads,” says Travis Vigil Vigil Senior of ISG Product Management in Dell Technologies.
Innovations in storage with AI and reinforced safety
The base of any private cloud lies in storage. Dell has renewed its porpholio with improvements on three main fronts: Powerstore, Powerflex and PowerMax.
Dell Powerstore Enter a new model with QLC technology, automation driven by AI and integration with Nutanix.
This will allow customers a simpler and scalable management of their data, with high capacity options and lower operational costs. In addition, the Smart Support Auto-Heal function promises to reduce incident resolution times by 90%.
Dell Powerflex It evolves with the Ultra version and the Scalable Motor Availability Engine (SAE), designed to scale storage defined by software to Petabytes levels, with an efficiency that reduces the necessary physical space more than 50%.
Dell PowerMax reinforces his role as a critical mission solution.
Its new version offers 25% more yield and adds support for QLC units. It also incorporates safety improvements, as a single login with Microsoft enters ID and email alerts encrypted.
For Thomas Cornelly, Senior Vice President of Product Management in Nutanix, the alliance between the two companies represents a turning point: “With our Nutanix Cloud Platform, which will soon support Dell Powerstore, we will be offering customers a new option on how to design their virtualized environments. This integration will provide a business level solution of flexibility, allowing organizations to build with confidence about their existing Dell infrastructure. ”
Cybersyliencia in the center of the strategy
Beyond storage, data protection is key in a scenario where cyber threats do not stop growing. Dell PowerProtect is positioned as the company’s response to guarantee business continuity and rapid recovery against incidents.
The new PowerProtect Data Domain DD3410 offers business security in a compact format, designed for remote offices and smaller environments. In parallel, the PowerProtect Data Manager Appliance centralizes the management of cybercraft, reinforcing the immutability of the data and the detection of anomalies.
