How to recreate the movie from the phone on the projector?

Wired connection
The easiest way is connecting the phone to the projector with a cable. Depending on the phone and projector model, you have several options:
- HDMI with an adapter -Most smartphones do not have HDMI, but you can use an adapter (e.g. USB-C → HDMI or Lightning → HDMI). This solution gives a stable image and no delays. Of course, the smartphone must support this technology.
- MHL (if you have an older phone) – Once a popular standard that allowed you to connect the phone via microUSB. If your projector supports MHL, it is worth checking this method.
- USB-C on DisplayPort -Some flagship smartphones (e.g. Samsung with DEX mode) support a direct image output via USB-C.

Wireless connection
If you don’t feel like having fun with cables, try a wireless connection. Here are some proven methods:
- Chromecast or Google TV – If you have a Google device, you can send the image from the phone with one click. It works great with YouTube, Netflix and other applications.
- Apple AirPlay – If you have an iPhone and projector supporting AirPlay, you can stream the image without combining with this method.
- Miracast – an older but still used standard for Android devices. Problem? Not all telephones support it, and the quality varies.
- Projector manufacturers’ applications – Some modern projectors have their own image transmission applications.
Wireless solutions are comfortable, but they can have lags – especially if the internet does not work in a given place. The image may cut if you don’t take care of a stable connection with Wi-Fi or 5G.
Connection via the Smart TV starter
If you have a Smart TV starter (e.g. Fire TV Stick, Xiaomi Mi Box), you can simply connect it to the projector and receive an audio-video signal from your smartphone.
- Connect the phone and Smart TV with the same Wi-Fi network.
- Turn on the “Screen Mirroring” function (the name may differ, e.g. “Cast Screen” in Android, “AirPlay” in iOS).
