Epson has expanded its popular line of 64-inch dye-sublimation printers in Europe with two new models: the SureColor F9500 and SC-F9500H. These models will replace the SureColor F9400 and SC-F9400H printers, offering significant improvements in terms of productivity, ease of use and image quality.

“The new compact design, combined with improvements in productivity and usability, sets a new market standard in sublimation printing. These printers have been designed to meet the diverse needs of our customers, from sportswear with vibrant colours to high-quality light signage, with maximum efficiency and excellence in printing,” says Jordi Yagües, business & product manager for Commercial & Industrial Printing at Epson Ibérica.

Innovative design, sublimation printing

The SureColor F9500 and SC-F9500H printers feature a compact design, reducing their height by over 300mm compared to previous models, saving space in studios with limited height and providing an additional flat surface, ideal for placing a laptop. They also include a 4.3-inch tilting touchscreen that displays key information such as ink levels and paper settings, allowing easy monitoring of printer status.

Productivity improvements

The new models are equipped with a larger PrecisionCore MicroTFP printhead, which increases productivity by 30% in 4-color mode. The media lift system facilitates single-user handling, making setup easier and more convenient.

Superior image quality and expanded color range

The SureColor F9500H can be configured with orange and violet inks, extending the colour gamut by 20%, resulting in more vivid and smooth colours. These printers also allow the use of fluorescent inks, ideal for producing vibrant sportswear, eye-catching posters and fashion applications. The combination of clear inks with the CMYK gamut reduces the presence of grain and improves tonal gradation, offering superior print quality, especially on rigid substrates.

Reliability and easy maintenance

The SC-F9500 series features Nozzle Verification Technology (NVT) and Part Overlay (POL) functions, which automatically detect nozzle status and adjust print quality to ensure consistent, reliable performance. User-replaceable print heads can be replaced without special tools, reducing downtime and maintaining high productivity. In addition, 1.6-litre ink tanks, which hold 45% more ink than previous models, minimise machine downtime and simplify the ink refilling process.
