Peter Moore, former head of EA Sports and Liverpool, invested in Wisła Kraków to help the club return to the top of Polish football.

This is a message that no one probably expected. Peter Moore said it was “something more than just a project.”

Peter Moore in Wisła Kraków – a business and technology icon focuses on a white star

Moore is a man who has such technological giants as Sega, Microsoft or EA Sports in his CV, as well as recognized sports brands such as Liverpool FC or Reebok. For years he has held executive positions in them, and now he will be able to support the 13-time Polish champion.

As we read in an official statement, Peter Moore took over 5% of shares at TS Wisła Kraków SA. The White Star finished the last season in the fourth place of the first league, and the former head of EA Sports is to help the club in a bold return to the Premier League with “deep respect for local traditions”.

Peter is not only one of the most successful people in the world of sport and technology. There was no such man in Polish football yet. He is a man who deeply understands what clubs such as Wisła really are – these are media of history, identity and community. – Jarosław Królewski, president of the board and majority owner of Wisła Kraków.

Moore himself said that cooperation with Wisła Kraków is “a journey of heritage, innovation and community.” An experienced businessman also emphasized his honor and faith in the potential of the Krakow club. For the supporters of the White Star – who recently had to swallow a bitter series of failures and a fall to the first league – this message is probably like a breeze of fresh air.
