Maintenance is one of the aspects that companies are most concerned about with regard to their printer fleets. The reason is due to increased costs and, above all, reduced productivity while the equipment is being serviced. For this reason, Epson has developed new multifunction printers Workforce Pro EM-C800RDWF and single-function Workforce Pro EP-C800RDW. With A4 printing size, both devices incorporate Epson’s RIPS (Replaceable Ink Pack System) to offer a high ink capacity in a small size, together with low energy consumption and a high first page output speed.

Developed using Epson’s heat-free inkjet technology, these printers require no heat in the printing process and therefore use less energy than equivalent laser printers. They also require no warm-up time from sleep mode, allowing the first page to be printed in just 4.8 seconds when printing in monochrome. All of this means less maintenance is required.

With print speeds of up to 25ppm, a paper capacity of up to 1,830 sheets with optional trays and an intuitive user interface, these printers are ideal for small workgroups with high print volumes, whether in small and medium-sized businesses or as part of a larger corporate fleet. The Workforce Pro EM-C800RDWF also offers scanning, with a double-sided scanning speed of up to 60ipm. These printers are compatible with a wide range of Epson solutions and a selection of third-party software, allowing them to be easily integrated into existing fleets, workflows and management systems.

Iryna Narytnyk, product manager at Epson Ibérica, says: “Thanks to our RIPS technology, these printers offer up to 50,000 pages of continuous monochrome printing. This not only increases user productivity and reduces maintenance and product downtime, but also means fewer consumable replacements, which means less need to produce, ship and dispose of components. Without a doubt, this is another action in support of Epson’s sustainability agenda and that of our partners and end users.”
