Fsas Technologies has just introduced Cool-Safe Liquid Cooling Technology, a technology designed to overcome the limitations of air-cooled data center racks as IT systems increase in density and generate more and more heat. This new solution reflects Fsas Technologies’ commitment to practical, results-oriented innovation, as well as the development of technologies capable of providing tangible benefits for both business and sustainability.

Temperatures in data centers are rising as artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) workloads increase rack density and heat generation. Faced with this situation, many organizations are finding that conventional air cooling systems no longer dissipate heat with the efficiency necessary to support next-generation computing environments.

At the same time, data center operators face increasing pressure to improve power usage efficiency (PUE), optimize space utilization and modernize existing facilities, all while keeping infrastructure costs under control. Cool-Safe Liquid Cooling Technology also contributes to advancing sustainability goals and meeting regulatory requirements, including the EU Digital Decade targets for 2030, the EU Energy Efficiency Directive and the German Energy Efficiency Act.

Compared to traditional air cooling systems, liquid cooling offers greater heat dissipation capacity in high-performance, high-density computing environments. This reduces energy consumption, reduces the space required for infrastructure and reduces noise, in addition to lowering long-term operating costs thanks to less wear on components and a reduction in system failures.

An innovative single-phase closed-loop system to reduce temperature quickly and efficiently

Cool-Safe Liquid Cooling Technology is based on direct liquid cooling principles and uses single-phase cold plate technology (cold plates) within a closed loop system. Combining efficient direct liquid cooling with enterprise-grade infrastructure and services offers organizations a practical path to modernize their current data centers and prepare them for next-generation high-performance and AI-based workloads, while enabling higher densities per rack and improving the energy efficiency of operations.

This approach offers a balance of consistent performance, reliability, cost-effectiveness and ease of deployment versus more complex alternatives such as two-phase or immersion cooling.

The PRIMECENTER Rack M2 42U LC is part of the solution. This specific rack is optimized for high-density IT equipment and liquid cooling infrastructures. Its components include the CDU 4U refrigerant distribution unit, with a cooling capacity of up to 80 kW; a coolant distribution manifold capable of supporting up to 72 nodes in a single rack; and liquid cooling modules connected directly to the CPUs to capture the heat generated by high-powered processors. Compatible systems are PRIMERGY RX2540 M8 and PRIMERGY RX2530 M8 rack servers.

Cool-Safe Liquid Cooling Technology is available directly from Fsas Technologies, with pricing depending on the configuration selected. The offering also includes installation and implementation services for physical assembly and initial configuration, as well as ongoing technical support to ensure stable and reliable operation.
