At CES 2026, GIGABYTE shows that the era of AI laptops does not have to be limited only to slogans about “intelligent functions”. The manufacturer is focusing on real changes in the way of managing equipment, energy and performance, presenting a refreshed GiMATE ecosystem and new laptops that will better respond to the everyday needs of users.

GIGABYTE unveiled an expanded vision for AI PCs at CES 2026, including a refreshed GiMATE interface and a new generation of gaming and creative laptops. The changes focus on simplifying operation, better system control and practical use of local artificial intelligence functions, without excessive exposure of the marketing layer.

The redesigned GiMATE interface is intended to act as a central hardware and software management panel. The manufacturer focuses on clearer navigation, quick access to information about the system status and voice control. The goal is to enable users to make more efficient decisions regarding performance, energy consumption or laptop operating mode, without having to delve into extensive system settings.

As GiMATE develops, so does the entire ecosystem of tools associated with this AI agent. The new version of AI Power Gear III introduces the ability to directly switch graphics card operating modes (Discrete Mode and MSHybrid) from one interface. The energy management system has been expanded with several scenarios: automatic mode, which turns off the dedicated graphics card when running on battery power, Optimus mode focused on balanced performance, and Eco mode, offering maximum energy saving both on the battery and on mains power.

For users involved in content creation, an extension of the GiMATE Creator module has been prepared. The tool has gained support for the Qwen-Image model, which allows generating graphics based on text commands in English and Chinese. In turn, GiMATE Coder is intended to facilitate programming work by generating, correcting and optimizing code based on natural language, which can be helpful for both beginners and more experienced developers.

The new hardware vision is represented by three laptops. AORUS MASTER 16 is the most powerful model in the offer, equipped with an AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU graphics card, enclosed in a 19 mm thick housing, thinner than the previous generation. The WINDFORCE Infinity EX cooling design combines a vapor chamber with an asymmetric fan to improve thermal stability under high loads.

The GIGABYTE AERO X16 model is aimed at people working mobile. It uses AMD Ryzen AI 400 series processors, with an emphasis on energy efficiency and local acceleration of AI tasks. The offer ends with GIGABYTE GAMING A18 PRO, which in a 20-mm housing offers a GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU card and is intended to be a compromise between performance and mobility for gamers and users taking their first steps in working with AI tools.
