GTT Communications has been selected by JYSK, the international home furnishings retailer, as its new global network partner. This collaboration represents an essential step in JYSK’s digital transformation, creating a high-performance network based on GTT’s Tier 1 global backbone and advanced WAN capabilities.
The solution combines Ethernet and Cloud Connect services to deliver secure, low-latency connectivity between stores, warehouses and cloud environments, supporting JYSK’s unified commerce strategy through the continued deployment of a single omnichannel platform that connects stores, e-commerce, customer service centers and distribution operations around the world.
JYSK, which is part of the family-owned Lars Larsen Group, has expanded its commercial presence to currently operate in more than 3,600 physical stores with an online commerce presence in 50 countries, in addition to having additional expansion plans. To strengthen this digital commerce ecosystem, the company will invest more than 2 billion Danish crowns (about 270 million euros) in the coming years in IT infrastructure, connectivity and cloud initiatives.
The retailer’s goal is to ensure that every store, employee and customer has fast, stable and secure access to JYSK systems and data, anytime, anywhere. “This collaboration marks an important milestone in JYSK’s long-term business and technology transformation, ensuring our digital foundation supports the continued growth, global expansion and demands of a modern omnichannel retail business,” said Anders Harder, IT Manager at JYSK.
Speed up transactions at the point of sale
JYSK’s network upgrade is a crucial enabler for its unified commerce strategy, ensuring the agility and reliability needed to deliver a seamless customer experience across all channels. By modernizing its digital foundation, JYSK can speed up point-of-sale transactions, maintain real-time inventory accuracy, and streamline order management, such as online pick-up and home delivery processes, two key aspects to delivering on its customer experience promise. Furthermore, this modernization favors a more efficient and flexible omnichannel commerce model.
“Our previous network infrastructure had reached its limits in terms of scalability and performance,” says Klaus Mark, Manager in the IT Networks team at JYSK. “With GTT, we get higher bandwidth and greater redundancy, while maintaining complete control and security. The architecture is simple, robust and designed for the future.”
The new network will serve 29 JYSK markets in Europe and will integrate with multiple hyperscalers and security switches providers through the GTT Envision platform, ensuring a strong and secure foundation for JYSK’s cloud strategy. This integration will help the company optimize supply chain operations, accelerate the launch of applications in different markets and support future digital retail initiatives, driving more agile global commerce operations.

“JYSK operates in a very complex retail environment, where seamless connectivity between its thousands of locations and cloud environments is key to providing the best possible service to its customers,” said Tom Homer, president of GTT’s European division. “Our role is to simplify that complexity with robust, scalable services, and we are proud to be the trusted networking partner supporting JYSK’s strategic vision for unified commerce and global growth.”
Homer also highlighted that the partnership is designed to support JYSK’s long-term digital evolution, including its shift toward knowledge-based marketing, modernized store concepts and automation-ready logistics infrastructure, all of which will enable it to deliver modern, highly personalized commerce experiences.
