Within the framework of the RSA, Cisco and Servicenow conference, they have announced a new phase in their strategic collaboration with the aim of facilitating the safe and scalable adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) in corporate environments. This agreement reinforces a relationship that has been consolidated during the last seven years and that now takes another step with key integrations between its safety and infrastructure platforms.

The initiative seeks to respond to a growing challenge: how to adopt AI technologies without compromising security or adding complexity to operations. For this, both companies will offer a unified approach that allows companies to protect their AI applications, manage the associated risks and demonstrate regulatory compliance throughout the AI life cycle.

“In the past, the security of slowing down technological adoption has been blamed, but an adequate security approach will accelerate the adoption of AI,” said Jeetu Patel, executive vice president and product director in Cisco. For his part, Amit Zavery, President and Director of Products and Operations of Servicenow, stressed: “IA is opening new borders for business transformation, and ensuring that future requires more than simple reactive defenses.”

Cisco and Servicenow: Adoption of AI

The first tangible fruit of this alliance will be the integration between Cisco AI Defense and the Secops of Servicenow, which will allow a more comprehensive management of the risks of AI. Among its abilities, automated detection of IA models, data, data and workloads, the evaluation of vulnerabilities, real -time protection of critical applications and the improvement of the response to incidents by shared telemetry.

In addition, the joint solution will facilitate regulatory compliance thanks to the possibility of mapping Cisco’s security controls with the standards collected in the Integrated Risk Management Platform (IRM) of Servicenow. All this is part of a common platform strategy that seeks to break the silos between security, governance and development teams within organizations.

Field tests will begin in the coming months, and the first integration is expected to be available for customers during the second half of the year, with new functionalities on the horizon. According to both companies, the growing market demand and the urgent need for reliable solutions for AI have accelerated this step forward in their collaboration.
