VAIO has just introduced an incredibly slim and light external display. An accessory that all lovers of working on two screens will be happy to take with them on every trip!
Many technology enthusiasts probably associate VAIO with the Sony laptop series, which for years were among the most fashionable and coolest-looking computers on the market. A decade ago, the Japanese giant decided to sell this part of the business, but don’t worry. The company is still operating and doing well. And a perfect example of this is their latest product: an external screen that impresses with its incredibly low weight!
A 14-inch external monitor that weighs 325 grams. Meet the VAIO Vision+ 14!
VAIO Vision+ 14 is the company’s latest 14-inch external display, which is enclosed in an exceptionally slim casing. The entire structure, offering a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels (16:10), is said to weigh just 325 grams, making it a tasty morsel for all travelers who lack a second screen on the road to work comfortably and effectively.
VAIO is quite sparing in providing details related to the product – we don’t know what brightness it offers or what type of matrix, although it is most likely IPS. The external screen itself offers two USB-C ports with DisplayPart and pass-through. In addition to the screen itself, the set also includes a meter-long cable, a case for safe transport and a privacy filter. The latter is especially pleasing, especially when we consider the specificity of the device and its potential use in public places. And we don’t necessarily want everyone to watch what is happening on our screen.
VAIO Vision+ 14 – How much does a lightweight external laptop screen cost?
The monitor has already hit Japanese stores, where it has been priced at just under 55,000 yen (approx. 1,365 PLN). It is known that the VAIO Vision+ 14 is to hit foreign markets – but the manufacturer has not yet revealed specific dates.
