Kyndryl and start-up Inbrain Neuroelectronics, dedicated to the development of graphene-based neural interfaces and intelligent neuromodulation systems, have announced the renewal of their collaboration to strengthen the digital capabilities that support the growth of Inbrain Neuroelectronics. The company is focused on overcoming the limitations of current neural interface technologies and advancing the future of neuroelectronic therapies.

«The advancement of neuroelectronic therapies requires a technological foundation as reliable and forward-thinking as our scientific work. Collaborating with Kyndryl allows us to focus on research that can significantly improve patients’ lives, knowing that our digital infrastructure is resilient, scalable and designed to support the next phase of our growth,” said Joan Adan, Director of Finance and Operations at Inbrain Neuroelectronics.

“With our knowledge and our deep technological experience in the market, we support companies in all sectors,” says David Soto, president of Kyndryl Spain and Portugal. “One of the sectors we are most proud to support is medical research, where we see first-hand how our work contributes to social progress and the well-being of people around the world.”

Companies in the biotechnology and medical research sectors are experiencing rapid advances. To keep pace, organizations need flexible, high-performance, low-risk technology environments that support innovation while protecting research integrity.

By collaborating with Kyndryl, Inbrain can maintain the digital performance necessary for continued research and development in neuroelectronic therapies. Cloud-enabled workflows enable teams to process data more efficiently and maintain uninterrupted access to critical research tools as the organization continues to grow.

Governance, operations and security control in Azure

Kyndryl supports Inbrain by managing its end-to-end on-premises and Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure, covering governance, daily operations, continuous support and improvement, monitoring, security and identity controls, and continuous cost and performance optimization.

Kyndryl will build and maintain Inbrain’s technology platform, enabling the tools and environments its teams rely on. Kyndryl also provides architectural guidance and infrastructure design to support the strong, resilient foundations needed to industrialize, scale, and bring your product to market. Additionally, Kyndryl will help design, build and deploy laboratory and production environments, enabling a seamless transition from R&D to reliable and scalable operations.

Inbrain Neuroelectronics has trusted Kyndryl since 2023 to manage and strengthen its technology environment, enabling continuous system availability, reliable access control, and protection of sensitive corporate information.

Kyndryl recently published its Healthcare Readiness Report, which notes that although healthcare organizations recognize the transformative potential of AI and the cloud, many still face significant gaps in infrastructure modernization, operational resilience, and talent preparation to scale these technologies safely and effectively.

The ability to industrialize technological innovation—with resilient infrastructure, governed data, and ready operating models—will be critical for healthcare organizations to turn AI and digitalization into tangible improvements in clinical outcomes and operational efficiency. In this context, having a robust, scalable, high-performance and secure technological base becomes a central strategic element to support innovation and protect the integrity of research.

In addition to supporting Inbrain Neuroelectronics, Kyndryl is working with the health department of the Balearic Islands, the Basque Government and the Hospital de la Fe, in Valencia.
