LG Electronics has presented its new smart home management platform called LG ThinQ Pro developed with a focus on professional B2B customers. The new tool represents a new approach to residential property management and is expected to further strengthen the company’s position in the construction market.
LG ThinQ Pro creates a fully integrated ecosystem of connected home appliances and HVAC systems, delivering new levels of operational efficiency and security, while providing a more convenient connected home experience for residents. Additionally, it allows property managers to operate seamlessly through smart patterns, including automated modes for when residents are away or returning home.
LG has designed ThinQ Pro with flexibility in mind, allowing the integration of required data from appliances without the need for a complete system overhaul, taking into account that many properties already have management systems in place. Additionally, the platform can detect potential risks, such as water leaks from washing machines or clogged dryer ducts, and issue alerts to management, helping to reduce the likelihood of incidents and ensure safer building management.
Efficiency improvement
These types of innovations are aligned with the company’s vision of the home of the future and specifically the kitchen of the future: a connected home that, through LG technology, can facilitate tasks, improve efficiency and help make people’s lives more practical, as affirmed by LG’s “Life’s Good” philosophy.
“LG ThinQ Pro is a dedicated B2B smart home platform that integrates our premium built-in appliance packages with differentiated operational solutions to simplify the management of appliances and living spaces in diverse residential environments,” said Steve Baek, president of LG Home Appliance Solution division. “We will continue to expand the capabilities of our B2B platform to support a broader range of residential applications.”
Innovation with affective intelligence
In line with its vision that AI should bring real value to people, LG ThinQ Pro reflects the company’s commitment to “affective intelligence”: a more attentive, empathetic and careful intelligence, capable of improving the customer experience with personalized and tailored services at home.
The development of the platform reflects LG’s ability to apply innovation to specific needs, by transferring that intelligence to the management of homes and appliances to offer tangible benefits—more comfort, efficiency and safety—to both residents and the professionals who manage them, contributing to improving daily life beyond innovation itself.
Optimized installation and maintenance management
LG ThinQ Pro, currently only available in the North American market, offers a comprehensive solution for builders, installers and property managers, providing a streamlined way to monitor appliances and living spaces. The platform addresses the growing multifamily housing sector, including apartment communities and long-term rental properties, providing a centralized system that spans from initial installation to daily operations.
Greater comfort, efficiency and safety, both for residents and for the professionals who manage them
The app simplifies key stages of property management, as installers can register multiple appliances by simply scanning a QR code, helping to streamline the initial setup process. Builders and property managers can also track installation progress in real time through a centralized digital workflow.
Upon installation, the LG ThinQ Pro dashboard provides a centralized view of the status of appliances across the property and enables asset tracking by unit, including model and serial number information. It also offers real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance alerts, and a structured process for managing warranties and service requests, helping to maintain stable operations and service continuity.
