The technology company GMV has been selected by the Department of Homeland Security (DSN) to carry out the first phase of the Data Intelligence Platform of the National Security System (SSN). This project, which officially began on September 13, marks an important step forward in the modernization of Spain’s critical infrastructure. The initiative seeks to improve the operational capacity of the SSN through the development of an advanced information system.
GMV’s proposal includes the creation of a modular platform based on microservices, designed to be scalable, available and easy to maintain. This platform will allow the SSN to manage the entire life cycle of data, from its capture and secure storage to its advanced analysis and the generation of key indicators for national cybersecurity. In addition, the platform will have advanced visualization capabilities and will allow predictive analysis and simulations of crisis scenarios.
This is a milestone in the modernization of Spain’s critical infrastructure, which will see the operational capacity of the National Security System improved.
In the words of José Prieto, director of business development and institutional relations in the Defense area of GMV: «We are proud to lead this transformation for the DSN, providing our most advanced technological solutions in Big Data and AI. We are convinced that the developed platform will strengthen the operational capacity of the SSN, improving strategic decision making through efficient real-time data management. Our collaboration with the DSN is proof of GMV’s firm commitment to the security and defense of Spain, fundamental pillars for the continuous growth and development of our company.
GMV leads the digital transformation of the National Security System
The project will use the latest technologies in big data and artificial intelligence, supported by a robust and automated infrastructure based on data containers. The platform’s security architecture will meet the highest standards, applying “Zero Trust” and defense in depth principles.
This will allow the SSN to optimize information management and improve strategic decision making, processing large volumes of data in real time and responding effectively to emerging threats. The first phase of the project is scheduled to be completed in November 2025.
This project reaffirms GMV’s commitment to the security and defense of Spain, and demonstrates its dedication to innovation and excellence in the development of critical technologies for defense and global security.
