Naturgy has selected Canon as its technological partner to optimize information management and modernize its printing infrastructure. Within the framework of this collaboration, Canon has implemented a digital postal solution to automate the management of notifications, both physical and electronic, which Naturgy receives from public administrations.

This solution has allowed digitizing and improving the automatic classification of a large volume of notifications, establishing a unique window based on the Canon Thereforem solution. Thanks to these improvements, the risk of errors and sanctions has been reduced, and efficiency in administrative processes has increased, complementing the solutions previously implemented by Naturgy.

During each phase of the project, the Canon team has followed strict homologation procedures to ensure the implementation of data protection measures, thus guaranteeing the security of the managed information.

Improvement of employee experience

Canon has also contributed to the modernization of Naturgy ‘print infrastructure, installing 200 new equipment in more than 100 locations, including offices and generation centers. These printing devices have advanced functions such as movement sensors, Wi-Fi connectivity and mobile printing capabilities, which has allowed employees to print and scan from anywhere, significantly improving their experience.

In addition, a cloud print management system has been implemented, eliminating the dependence of physical servers in Naturgy’s data centers. This has not only generated significant cost savings, but also has simplified infrastructure and improved operational safety and efficiency. Canon’s comprehensive solution has optimized Naturgy’s technological infrastructure, improving its productivity and contributing to its commitment to sustainability.

The Naturgy corporate media services team has highlighted the value that Canon provides in the services it manages, providing quick and personalized responses to the needs that arise. “The Digital Estafeta has been a key advance for us, we have a centralized system that guarantees that the 43,000 notifications that are processed from the Canon portal are managed in a homogeneous and efficient way,” they say from Naturgy.

For his part, José Manuel González Brizuela, director of Canon Information Management Solutions, has expressed his satisfaction for working with a company like Naturgy, a reference in the efficient and sustainable management of energy resources. “Thanks to processes digitalization, the impression of mobility between buildings and other new functionalities, we have contributed to transforming the way employees access the information and print services,” said González Brizuela.

Impact on efficiency and sustainability

The collaboration between Naturgy and Canon has had a significant impact on the operational efficiency and sustainability of the energy company. The modernization of printing infrastructure and automation of notification management have allowed Naturgy to reduce costs, improve information security and increase the productivity of their employees. In addition, these improvements are in line with Naturgy’s commitment to sustainability, reducing paper use and optimizing resources consumption.
