IBM and Minsait have announced the opening of a Generative AI Center of Excellence. This center, powered by the IBM Watsonx platform, has the mission of accelerating the adoption of innovative solutions that transform the business landscape in Spain.

Focused on developing and testing pilot projects in the area of customer service, IBM and Minsait will explore the potential of generative AI both in Minsait’s internal operations and in its clients’ environments. These pilots seek to demonstrate how AI can solve real problems, optimize processes, improve service quality and automate support functions, in order to strengthen digital work in various sectors.

IBM’s Watsonx platform will be at the heart of these initiatives, providing businesses with advanced tools to transform their operations. With its focus on enterprise AI, Watsonx offers an open and flexible solution, allowing clients to select AI models that best fit their needs, choose between public or private cloud environments, and ensure transparency and governance in the use of AI.

“Through this Generative AI Center of Excellence, we are demonstrating our collaboration and partnership with key partners such as Minsait to develop innovative solutions that drive digital transformation and generate a tangible impact on Spanish companies,” said Raúl García, IBM Ecosystem Leader for Spain, Portugal, Greece and Israel.

The creation of this Center of Excellence in generative AI is part of a solid collaboration between IBM and Minsait, which for years have shared a deep commitment to innovation and the transformation of the Spanish business fabric. As a precedent, IBM designed a defined training proposal for Minsait, consisting of online itineraries and face-to-face sessions, which culminated in certifications and badges that train the entity’s experts to address the different use cases with IBM technology.

A major step forward in the development of new projects and MVPs (Minimum Viable Product) is the collaboration with IBM Client Engineering, the IBM team specialized in the creation of innovative solutions and pilot projects. This group, together with Minsait’s process experts, brings great value to the project thanks to their extensive experience, understanding of the client’s needs, focus on innovation and use of agile methodologies.

Several use cases are currently being developed in the field of Help Desks. The integration of generative AI has significantly improved the efficiency of the audit process, reducing the time required and increasing the number of audited calls. This also allows for more precise selection of calls that require manual review.

Ignacio Fernández, Global Director of Financial Services at Minsait, says that this collaboration “will allow us to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence in Spanish organizations, with the support of a strategic partner like IBM. Together, we will explore new horizons and business opportunities, taking advantage of Minsait’s sector knowledge and the IBM Watsonx AI and data platform to offer a transformative proposal in the field of AI.”

The initiative began using an IBM cloud architecture, which provides agility and scalability. However, it is designed to allow for a seamless transition to an on-premise environment, providing flexibility to adapt as the collaboration progresses.

Through this collaboration and the development of innovative solutions based on generative AI, companies are expected to be able to face current and future market challenges more effectively.
