Sofos has completed the acquisition of Secureworks, consolidating its position as leader in Detection and Response Services (MDR). The transaction, valued at approximately 859 million dollars, was carried out in cash and has led to Secureworks shares stop quoting at Nasdaq. This acquisition has the support of Thoma Bravo, an outstanding software investment firm.
The combination of both companies will allow Sofos to provide an unprecedented security operations platform, with hundreds of incorporated integrations for adaptive protection, detection and response. And, Sophos X-Ops, the Sophos advanced operations unit, will benefit from the incorporation of the Counter Threat Unit of Secureworks and its Operations and Security Advice equipment.
