At a time when European digital sovereignty has become a strategic priority, Nutanix and Ovhcloud have taken a step forward with the launch of Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) in the Ovhcloud infrastructure. The alliance not only responds to the growing regulatory and regulatory compliance demands, but also offers organizations a flexible alternative in a market marked by the search for technological independence.

The integration of NC2 in OVHCloud comes in a context of great agitation in the Cloud sector after the purchase of VMware by Broadcom, which has led many companies to rethink their strategies. Faced with uncertainty, the possibility of choosing a sovereign and sustainable multicloud hybrid cloud is emerging as a top -level competitive advantage.

Choice and sovereignty as central axes

The interest in models that allow companies to maintain control over their data within European jurisdictions does not stop growing. In this sense, Nutanix and Ovhcloud’s proposal fits fully with the European Union’s digital sovereignty objectives, while expanding the capacity of clients’ choice.

“Our collaboration with OVHCloud, Partner Nutanix Elevate Service Provider, expands the freedom of choice of our clients,” explains Sammy Zoghlami, Senior Vice President of Nutanix in EMEA. “By expanding Nutanix’s offer in Ovhcloud to integrate Nutanix Cloud Clusters, companies will have a new solution to create a sustainable public cloud platform that supports the European objectives of data sovereignty. Together, we are helping customers better protect their critical work loads, to migrate to the cloud and to continue innovating.”

Ovhcloud is strengthened as a cloud of trust in Europe

The alliance reinforces the Ovhcloud position as a supplier of sovereign cloud, with European property data centers that guarantee compliance with local regulations. For many companies, this is the key to maintaining critical operations without exposing your information to external jurisdictions.

“The agreement we have reached with Nutanix consolidates Ovhcloud as the sovereign cloud in Europe,” says Caroline Comet-Fufneau, Chief Sales Ovhcloud. “Companies today seek reliable, transparent and efficient alternatives for their multicloud hybrid strategies. And that is precisely what Nutanix Cloud Clusters offers in Ovhcloud.”

A more sustainable and profitable hybrid cloud

Beyond regulatory compliance, organizations seek to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Multicloud hybrid implementations based on Nutanix are demonstrating their value not only in flexibility, but also in sustainability. According to an IDC report, this type of deployment has allowed companies to reduce the space in rack by up to 80%, cut carbon emissions in 200 annual metric tons and reduce energy consumption by a range of 60% to 80%.

The Nutanix-OVHCloud joint model, based on high performance Bare metal servers, also provides cost predictability that eliminates output commissions, one of the main concerns of companies operating in multicloud environments.

Use cases: from biotechnology to digital services

The alliance is already showing results in different sectors. In the health field, Paul Bodet, CTO of LFB Group, underlines the importance of this type of solutions: “As a biopharmaceutical company, the sovereignty of data and regulatory compliance are fundamental to us. Nutanix Cloud Clusters in Ovhcloud allows us to modernize our infrastructure and guarantee at the same time that our confidential data remains in a European cloud trust”.

In the technological sector, vision is similar. Hemant Lamba, CEO of Inetum Solutions, highlights that “thanks to Nutanix Cloud Clusters in Ovhcloud, we can offer our clients a sovereign and profitable alternative, with fluid operations both on on-premise and in the cloud.”
