Oracle’s NetSuite has held its annual SuiteWorld 2024 conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, with a nature-inspired presentation focused on highlighting the potential challenges that growth can bring to businesses and how technology can help overcome them.
All of this served as a prelude to the launch of Oracle’s Redwood user interface across NetSuite’s entire product line, using an analogy between trees and business growth. Evan Goldberg, founder and executive vice president of Oracle, drew parallels between the natural world and business, where change is the only constant: In both nature and business, as everything changes, it’s crucial to find ways to survive and grow.
“NetSuite was built to provide a solid foundation for business growth, enabling companies to scale with their needs and connecting all areas of their business. We continue to expand NetSuite’s capabilities so that as our customers grow, AI and workflow improvements provide them with key insights, increase their productivity, and facilitate internal collaboration,” said Evan Goldberg, founder and executive vice president of Oracle NetSuite.

Amazon and Oracle are seamlessly connecting AWS services to the latest Oracle Database technology, including Oracle Autonomous Database
Oracle Cloud World 2024 News
Meanwhile, at Oracle Cloud World, Oracle and Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS) announced the launch of Oracle Database@AWS, a new solution that enables customers to access Oracle Autonomous Database on dedicated infrastructure and the Oracle Exadata Database service within AWS.
This offering provides an integrated experience between Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and AWS, simplifying database administration, billing, and customer support. Additionally, customers will be able to seamlessly connect enterprise data stored in their Oracle databases to applications running on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), AWS analytics services, or AWS’s advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) solutions such as Amazon Bedrock.
“We’re seeing tremendous demand from customers who want to use multiple clouds,” said Larry Ellison, president and CTO of Oracle. “To meet this demand and give customers the choice and flexibility they want, Amazon and Oracle are seamlessly connecting AWS services to the latest Oracle Database technology, including Oracle Autonomous Database. With Oracle Cloud Infrastructure deployed inside AWS data centers, we can provide customers with the best possible database and network performance.”
Oracle Database@AWS will help customers accelerate their migration to the cloud and modernize their IT environments. Additionally, customers will benefit from:
- Zero-ETL integration between Oracle Database services and AWS analytics services. Customers will be able to seamlessly and securely connect and analyze data across Oracle Database services and applications they already have running on AWS, gaining faster and deeper insights without the need to build pipelines.
- Flexible options to simplify and accelerate the migration of your Oracle databases to the cloud, including support for proven migration tools such as Oracle Zero Downtime Migration.
- A simplified purchasing experience through AWS Marketplace, which enables customers to purchase Oracle Database services using their existing AWS commitments and take advantage of the benefits of their Oracle licenses, including the Bring Your Own License (BYOL) program and discounts such as Oracle Support Rewards (OSR).
- A fully unified support for both AWS and Oracle, as well as guidance through reference architectures, landing zones, and other resources that will help customers successfully build and run their most trusted enterprise applications in the cloud.
- Seamless integration with Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) for an easy and secure way to backup and restore databases, as well as facilitate disaster recovery.
