Salesforce and Anthropic have announced the integration of Claude into Slack using Claude Tag, a new feature that brings Anthropic intelligence directly into Slack. Thanks to this capability, users can use Claude by simply mentioning @Claude in any channel, incorporating an AI agent into the workflow to collaborate in real time on any type of task without having to leave the conversation.
Connect with business tools
Unlike traditional AI experiences, which are often developed in isolation in separate applications or windows, Claude Tag operates as a team member within Slack. The agent can access the context of authorized channels, understand ongoing conversations, and connect with business tools and development environments to execute actions, generate code, or manage requests. All this in a transparent way for the team, which can follow, enrich and redirect the agent’s work in real time from the channel itself.
The integration also reinforces the concept of collaborative intelligence by combining the capabilities of Slackbot and Claude within the same platform. While Slackbot provides a contextual experience based on the company’s knowledge and organizational memory, Claude brings specialized capabilities for technical use cases, software development, and advanced workflows. This combination allows organizations to incorporate different types of AI agents into a unified environment, facilitating more efficient collaboration between people and digital agents.
