SEIDOR turns Talent Arena, the forum organized by Mobile World Capital Barcelona, into a space for reflection and action on technological inclusion. Under the motto “Talent and disability: technology as a driver of real inclusion”the technology consultancy has led a session focused on how innovation and artificial intelligence can reduce barriers and generate job opportunities for people with functional diversity and neurodivergence.
More than a hundred attendees with different abilities actively participated in the meeting, reinforcing the practical and collaborative sense of the day. Employing companies, public institutions and entities specialized in labor integration debated the role of technological inclusion in creating more equitable professional environments.
The initial round table, moderated by Silvia SousaDirector of Transformation at SEIDOR, had representatives from the Barcelona City Council, Grifols, SIFU Group and Eurofirms Foundationwho shared approaches on how to apply the technological inclusion in talent management and diversity strategies. In the public, entities such as Adecco Foundation, LaFACT, Friends Foundation either Sant Tomás Foundation They contributed real experiences around inclusive employability.
Challenges of technological inclusion
During the debate, the challenges of adapting selection processes, professional development and organizational culture were addressed so that innovation and technological inclusion move forward together. Sousa stressed that “if technology is defining the future of work, inclusion must be part of the design from the beginning,” highlighting that the true potential of talent arises “when labels are eliminated.”
The session continued with first-person testimonies from Ainhoa Castañoan engineer from the UAB with neurodivergence, and Alba Mestresa professional from the Barcelona City Council with visual disabilities. Both highlighted how technological inclusion can transform access to employment and personal autonomy. The day concluded with a participatory dynamic led by LaFACT – Social Factory of Terrassawhere attendees dismantled myths and proposed concrete actions to move towards models of technological inclusion sustainable.
