Spain does not want to be behind in the technological career. In the middle of 2025, the country’s startup ecosystem has first exceeded 110,000 million euros in aggregate valuation, confirming its maturity and attractiveness internationally. Far from being a passing fad, business innovation is consolidated as an economic engine, with 1,950 million captured only in the first semester and a clear leadership of the areas of artificial intelligence and climate technology.
This quantitative leap is not accidental: the local talent, an increasingly solid network of investors and an increasing opening towards internationalization place Spain on the global radar. And not only in Madrid and Barcelona; Also ecosystems such as Valencia, Bilbao or Malaga are adding innovative muscle.
Behind the figures are proper names that drive the map of innovation, as Wolters Kluwer exposes. Talentfy, specialized in automated recruitment; Clinical Club, which digitizes the management of medical centers; and Heura – Foods for Tomorrow, a reference in sustainable food, are the three most outstanding Spanish startups in July, according to several investment and growth rankings.
“We are seeing how the combination of purpose, scalability and technological innovation positions our startups as referents in Europe,” they point out from the investment environment. “Capital is betting not only for ideas, but for solid business models that can operate from here to the world.”

Meanwhile, tools such as intervo, permut or sully.ai, launched this month, offer solutions adapted to SMEs, focused on automated marketing and data analysis. A land in which Spain also wants to lead.
AI and productivity: a key alliance for companies
Microsoft is not far behind: Copilot is now available for all Users of Office 365 and Outlook, integrating ia in the generation of emails, reports or analysis in real time. A silent revolution that is already felt in thousands of Spanish companies.
In addition, new tools such as Flux.1 Kontext, Pokecut or Fabi.Ai Workflows have stroked hard into the field of productivity, promising to free time and resources in startups and SMEs.
Opportunities that do not have to pass
Beyond technology, financing continues to flow. Enterprise Europe Network has opened a call for 182.5 million euros to support digitalization and sustainability projects. In parallel, there are still 5 million euros available for the digitalization of SMEs, with a term until July 31.
The advice sector also takes note. According to Barometer 2025 of Wolters Kluwer, digitalization, artificial intelligence applied to tax services and talent collection are the three main challenges for offices and SMEs.
