Under the motto “NEXT Beyond the data, beyond the now”, SPOUG25, the annual convention of the Oracle community in Spain, became a key space for innovation and updating in the latest trends of the Oracle ecosystem.
The annual convention brought together more than 400 attendees, with the participation of 14 technology providers and 40 expert speakers in Oracle Cloud Technology, Cloud Applications, GenAI and NetSuit, in a day that took place at Espacio Ventas in Madrid, with a clear focus on the digital trends that are transforming the sector.
Oscar García, manager of SPOUG, was in charge of opening the day, highlighting the relevance of SPOUG25 as a key meeting point for the technological community, thanking the presence of professionals and speakers from different countries, and underlining the importance of creating collaborative learning spaces around the Oracle ecosystem and its global trends.
AI, multicloud and infrastructure modernization
After this opening, the keynotes and initial sessions took place, which addressed topics such as artificial intelligence, multicloud, infrastructure modernization, business innovation and customer experiences, offering attendees a complete vision of the current and future state of Oracle technology, aligned with the main trends in the technological market.
The opening session was led by Albert Triola, Senior Vice President Support Renewal Sales EMEA and Country Leader of Oracle Spain, with a keynote titled “AI changes everything”. Triola highlighted Oracle’s role as a technological benchmark in artificial intelligence and cloud, and its commitment to leading a new era in which AI is integrated into the infrastructure, database and applications, all aspects linked to the most innovative trends in the industry.

Through real examples in the fields of health, public administration and business innovation, he showed how technology is transforming processes and improving people’s lives. With an optimistic and strategic vision, he concluded with a clear message: “AI is no longer an option, but an action”, reflecting the trends that drive global technological adoption.
Integration and connectivity
The session on the launch of the Oracle Database Azure service brought together Patricia Cortés Moradell, Cloud & AI Sales Specialist at Microsoft, Lola Benito, Sales Director Oracle Cloud First at Accenture; Óscar Bernacer, Cloud Architect Director at Oracle, and remotely, to Max Knepper, Director Cloud Adoption at McKesson. These types of collaborations respond to the integration and connectivity trends that mark the future of the business cloud.
During the day, 40 parallel presentations were held, where Product Managers and Solution Engineers shared practical experiences, good practices and success stories. SPOUG25 thus reaffirms its role as a meeting point for the Oracle community in Spain, offering a space for learning, exchange of experiences and recognition of the most outstanding projects and professionals of the year, always attentive to the trends that define technological evolution.
