Virtual Cable has promoted the transformation of the digital environment of the National Police through the implementation of a workplace virtualization model that reaches more than 80,000 agents, one of the largest deployments of these characteristics in the public sector. The solution, which combines virtual desktops and virtualized applications, allows each agent to access a personalized environment from any point on the intranet and without dependence on physical hardware. This advance reinforces a safer, more efficient technological infrastructure prepared to respond to current operational needs.
Given the increase in security, availability and management capacity demands, the National Police needed to evolve towards a more agile and efficient model. Operational complexity and dependence on physical infrastructure limited centralization, made scalability difficult and increased the technical burden in an environment with critical requirements in terms of access to information and operational continuity.
Comprehensive workplace virtualization model
To respond to these challenges, Virtual Cable has promoted a comprehensive workplace virtualization model in the National Police based on its UDS Government solution, integrated into the cloudPol private cloud. This solution allows you to centralize the management of systems, applications and data in a secure and governed environment.
The National Police project, implemented by Fsas Technologies and Quer System, guarantees homogeneous access to technological resources from any point on the corporate network. This improvement has significantly reduced technical support times and increased system availability.
Furthermore, the centralization of the infrastructure reinforces the control over access and data of the National Police, improves traceability and facilitates compliance with the requirements of the National Security Scheme, by relying on the only VDI solution certified in accordance with the ENS. This model also optimizes energy consumption and contributes to more efficient operations and improves the sustainability of the technological environment.
“This project has represented a strategic advance for the organization, by allowing us to have a more accessible, efficient digital environment with greater security guarantees. This model improves the operation of the force and optimizes the management of technological resources,” says Juan Carlos González Carvajal, Commissioner and Head of the Information Technology Area of the National Police.
The implementation of a centralized and secure model with UDS Government from Virtual Cable improves technological management and reinforces operations
With this initiative, Virtual Cable consolidates its position as a provider of workplace virtualization solutions for critical environments, capable of responding to the security, efficiency and control needs of public organizations.
Project awarded at the @ASLAN 2026 Awards
The initiative received recognition in the 18th edition of the @ASLAN Awards as the best project in digital infrastructures and cloud. This award distinguishes an implementation that has allowed progress towards a safer, centralized and efficient workplace model in an environment with high security and management requirements such as that of the National Police.
The recognition highlights the capacity of virtualization to respond to the availability, control and management needs of a large public organization, as well as its contribution to the improvement of daily operations and the optimization of technological resources.
“This award reflects the impact that a centralized and flexible work environment can have on organizations that need to combine security, efficiency and adaptability. It also highlights the importance of having technology capable of simplifying technological management, facilitating access to resources and responding to the new operational needs of public administrations,” says Félix Casado, CEO of Virtual Cable.
With this initiative, Virtual Cable consolidates a workplace virtualization model aimed at critical environments and public administrations, which combines security, efficiency and centralized management capacity. Its UDS Government technology is also used in police and security organizations in different countries as a platform for secure access to the workplace.
