Watchguard Technologies has announced a collaboration agreement with the Goodjob Foundation, a non -profit entity that works at the national level for the labor inclusion of people with disabilities. This alliance responds to the commitment of both organizations to promote the employability of people with disabilities in the technological and security ecosystem thus contributing to reducing the gap generated by the shortage of talent formed and qualified in the sector.

To date, more than 50 people have trained in Watchguard technologies, especially in key areas such as network security, Endpoint protection, detection and managed response (MDR), and Threat Hunting with Watchguard Orion, among others.

According to César López, general director of the Goodjob Foundation, this alliance means “a strategic advance to promote equal opportunities and facilitate access to innovative cybersecurity solutions. On the one hand, we promote the employability of people with disabilities and, on the other, we strengthen the technological ecosystem from a more diverse, inclusive and sustainable perspective”.

“This collaboration is a clear example of how technological innovation and social inclusion can go hand in hand. We are proud to be part of a project that not only transforms lives, but also contributes value to our channel and market,” says Miguel Carrero, global vice president of Partner Ecosystem Growth & Strategic Accounts in Watchguard Technologies. “To form diverse talent in our technologies not only responds to an ethical commitment, but also to a strategic vision of the future for cybersecurity.”

Watchguard and Goodjob Foundation

This agreement establishes a framework of collaboration around two main axes:

  • IMPULSE TO INCLUSION AND PROFESSIONAL TRAINING: The initiative reinforces the involvement of organizations with the generation of real employment opportunities for people with some type of disability in the field of cybersecurity. Through #impact employability programs of the Goodjob Foundation, these people – which do not necessarily have training or previous technology experience – acquire high -value digital skills, thus facilitating their labor insertion in a growing sector and contributing to the construction of a more inclusive digital environment
  • Strengthening of the cybersecurity ecosystem: This collaboration also promotes synergies that benefit the whole sector, especially through the incorporation of diverse professionals trained in technologies widely used in business environments. After completing their training, part of the participants will be integrated as a junior talent in companies in the sector, while others will join the #Factory de la Foundation service, from which they will provide cybersecurity services using Watchguard solutions, among others. As an approved partner of Watchguard, the Foundation thus consolidates its ability to offer specialized technical support, aligned with the company’s quality and safety standards

Technology with purpose

Labor inclusion in the field of cybersecurity is not only a matter of social responsibility, but also a strategic commitment to the future. In Watchguard, the mentality of giving priority to people is reflected in all their actions, and this alliance with Goodjob is a clear example of how they carry that approach beyond technology by valueing the transformative impact that it has on the lives of people when it is oriented with purpose

Integrating diverse talent not only transforms lives, but also promotes innovation, strengthens the sector and opens quality professional opportunities in a market with high demand for specialists.
