The growth of artificial intelligence (AI) in the European business environment is no longer a promise, but a measurable reality. However, although the number of implemented systems is multiplied in organizations, most still moves in an initial adoption phase. This is confirmed by a recent ESSCA study, which reveals that 80% of companies use less than 10 AI systems, while only 3% have exceeded the 50’s barrier.
This data not only indicates the degree of penetration of AI, but also the moment of technological maturity in which many companies are found. At first, the adoption of these systems focuses on improving productivity and reducing costs. But as their number grows, applications evolve to more strategic areas such as customer experience, innovation or decision making.
From you to marketing: the deployment of AI is still centralized
The technical departments lead the integration of AI in the business fabric. 37%of the implementations are concentrated in you, followed by operations (15%) and marketing (14%). This distribution shows a clear opportunity for expansion to other less explored areas, such as human resources, legal or customer service.
The most used models by European companies also reflect the advance towards more sophisticated solutions. 32% use AI for data analysis and decision -making, 24% is based on natural language processing systems – like chatbots – and 27% committed to computer vision technologies and voice recognition. Deep learning and type models Transformers They begin to consolidate as the basis of corporate AI.
“We want to train those who will lead AI in the companies of the future”
Despite the progress, only 26% of companies feel prepared to face the risks associated with the use of AI. And only 49% have constituted a specific team for their management. In this scenario, internal systems development, an option chosen by about 25% of companies, becomes a key way to generate their own competitive advantages.
Faced with this growing need for specialized talent, the ESSCA Business School has launched a new three -year degree in International Business Management with specialization in Business AI, data and cybersecurity on its Malaga campus.
“We have developed this program Bachelor in International Managementthat combines foundations in business management, economy, marketing, finance, sustainability, business ai and cybersecurity to respond to the aspirations of a generation that seeks to integrate the knowledge of ManagementInternational with the application of AI to business, ”says Stéphane Ruiz, director of the EsSCA campus in Malaga.
Malaga, training node for the next decade
The new program is part of the strategic plan Kairos 2030 of Essca, which is committed to a training based on integration between Managementhumanities and artificial intelligence. With this initiative, the school not only reinforces its international presence, but also contributes to position Malaga as a European Hub in the teaching of critical technologies such as Business Ai, data analysis and cybersecurity.
