Zoom has announced its alliance with Google Cloud to adopt and contribute to the Acent2agent (A2A) program, marking a key step in the development of collaboration between artificial intelligence agents in business environments.
As demonstrated in Google I/O 2025, Zoom is integrating with Google Cloud Agentspace with the aim of saving time, which is normally lost, to Zoom and Gmail users to program and coordinate fluid meetings through AI agents. The first phase, whose launch is scheduled for the end of this summer, demonstrates how agents enabled for A2A can identify the context of the meeting in Gmail, automatically program it in Zoom Meetings and update Google Calendar, all keeping the participants informed and launching the sessions at the right time.
“Zoom is an open platform, and this integration is based on our investment in Zoom AI Companion and its multiagente collaboration capabilities. Our contribution to the A2A program allows a deeper integration with Google Cloud and other third -party platforms, providing customers for greater flexibility and freedom of choice,” Ross Mayfield, product manager affirms – Workplace AI and Strategic Integrations in Zoom. “This collaboration will allow connecting AI agents in our open ecosystem, making it possible for external solutions such as Servicenow Nowassist to work in AI Companion, and that AI Companion is executed on other A2A platforms such as Google Agentspace and Servicenow Agentographic.”

Google Cloud recently announced the A2A project as an open standard for the communication of AI agents, which is being adopted quickly by different suppliers. With this protocol a common framework for multiagente collaboration is established, which facilitates a more efficient automation and a more fluid integration of AI in all tools in the work environment.
In this context, Rao Surapaneni, vice president and general director of the Google Cloud Business Applications Platform, He points out: “Agent2agent constitutes a fundamental framework for AI agents to communicate fluidly between platforms. Thanks to our collaboration with Zoom, we will eliminate the silos that have limited the potential of AI at work, allowing agents to collaborate regardless of their platform or system of origin.”
Among the main advantages of Zoom’s A2A integration are included:
- Reduction of technical barriers in the integration of AI between platforms, allowing a perfect interaction between Zoom Ai Companion and external agents enabled for A2A without the need for personalized integration codes.
- Improved automation of workflow and greater efficiency for business clients.
- Future support for more sophisticated multi-agent AI interactions.
