A new world record for drone speed has just been broken. It’s unbelievable how fast it can move!
Drones are a relatively new category of equipment in the world of technology. They stir up a lot of emotions – some are very afraid of them. Others are delighted with the possibilities. And still others have just broken the Guinness record for the fastest speed achieved.

This drone flies at a speed of about 480 kilometers per hour!
I’ve already mentioned that this is a relatively new category, which means we hear about new records being broken quite regularly. The last one was set by Red Bull and Dutch Drone Gods just two months earlier, in February. But a few weeks ago, it was broken by a YouTuber from South Africa, who beat the record by about 130 km/h.
Of course, no one would take the internet creators’ word for it — and the people responsible for verifying the achievements actually clocked the drone moving at 298.47 miles per hour — or 480.23 kilometers per hour.
An extraordinary achievement, but also quite an interesting path that the creator took to reach this goal. Luke Bell and Mike Bell published materials on their channel that show step by step what it looked like in practice. From the first plans and creating concepts, through the first 3D prints, programming, and the final flight of the fastest drone in the world. And although it sounds like a story of great success, which the device undoubtedly is, Bell also speaks openly about the problems and failures he encountered along the way. Very interesting materials that may prove to be extremely inspiring for many!
