Gigas and Sage have signed a strategic alliance to offer Sage ERP solutions as a Service (SaaS) to the SME market from the Gigas cloud platform. The union of the Gigas infrastructure, together with the Sage application ecosystem, allows the deployment of advanced cloud solutions that reduce technical complexity and facilitate easier access to business management solutions for organizations with fewer resources.
The objective of this collaboration is to provide SMEs with remote, secure and centralized access to their main management solutions – including Sage for Accountants, Sage 50 and Sage 200 – through an infrastructure based on Remote Desktop Services (RDS) on Windows Server, which eliminates the need for local installations and provides homogeneous and consistent solutions in any work environment.
The joint architecture of Gigas and Sage guarantees a controlled and optimal environment for all users, with dedicated servers for Active Directory, SQL Server or Terminal Server, and with integration options with additional solutions and services such as ISV add-ons, cloud backup, firewall or advanced security tools. In addition, Gigas’ global managed service model allows companies to outsource the complete administration of the infrastructure – including operating system, security, monitoring, backup and support -, turning the solutions offered into a turnkey project for clients, partners and the Sage ecosystem.
Scalable solutions
One of the differentiating elements of the agreement is the pricing by number of users, which simplifies the technical and economic understanding of the service and facilitates the scalability of the solutions according to the needs of each organization. These solutions allow SMEs to grow without technological friction or high initial investments.
