Dell Technologies has announced a strategic agreement with Vodafone Spain to expand the capacity of its data centers throughout the country over the next five years. Through a flexible consumption-based model, this collaboration will allow Vodafone to scale its data center infrastructure, while supporting the rapid growth of digital services in Spain.
Spain is experiencing strong momentum in its digital transformation in both the private and public sectors, driven by greater adoption of artificial intelligence (AI), advanced analytics, cloud computing and IoT solutions. As data volumes and processing needs continue to grow, having data centers with scalable, secure and efficient infrastructure has become a critical factor in maintaining competitiveness and innovation.
This agreement with Dell positions Vodafone Spain to respond to these demands by strengthening its data centers in the country, ensuring that companies and public bodies benefit from secure, high-performance services hosted locally.
Infrastructure designed for the country’s digital future
The expansion will enhance Vodafone Spain’s data centers with greater storage capacity, allowing customers to deploy data-intensive workloads with greater speed, reliability and efficiency.
Using Dell APEX allows Vodafone to consume infrastructure capacity as needed, while reducing initial capital investment. Likewise, it allows the company to align costs with real demand, optimize the management of its data centers, improve financial efficiency and accelerate the commercialization of new services.
The implementation of Dell solutions will also improve the energy efficiency of Vodafone’s data centers, supporting its sustainability commitments and contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions in the Spanish digital ecosystem.
In the words of Carlos Becker, Director of Marketing and Business Development at Vodafone Business: «This agreement represents a key milestone to strengthen the digital backbone of Spain. By expanding the capacity of our data centers through a flexible consumption-based model, we guarantee that Spanish companies and public institutions have the secure, high-performance infrastructure they need to innovate and grow. In addition, it reinforces our commitment to maintaining critical data and capabilities within Spain, while accelerating the adoption of AI, cloud and next-generation services throughout the country.»

For her part, Isabel Reis, general director for Iberia at Dell Technologies, has stated that: «Our collaboration with Vodafone Spain reflects Dell Technologies’ commitment to promoting the Spanish digital economy. By providing a scalable, energy-efficient infrastructure, hosted in Vodafone data centers and managed using a flexible model, we enable Vodafone to quickly respond to local demand and offer cloud services to its customers. This platform supports diverse workloads, including those related to AI and edge, driving innovation while creating a resilient foundation so that organizations across Spain can take advantage of new opportunities and achieve sustainable growth.
Managed Services for Performance and Resiliency
Dell will provide end-to-end lifecycle management of data center storage infrastructure, including hardware and software maintenance, monitoring and upgrades. Thanks to guaranteed service level agreements, Vodafone Spain will be able to ensure high availability, security and operational continuity in its data centers, while focusing on offering value-added services to its customers.
For Vodafone Business customers, this will mean faster response times, greater storage and processing capacity, and the ability to confidently scale their digital initiatives – from AI environments to cloud-native applications – on infrastructure hosted in Spain and supported by state-of-the-art data centres.
