Samsung has renewed its range of foldables with the Galaxy Z Fold8, Fold8 Ultra and Flip8, powered by Galaxy AI, a new family that expands its catalog with three new well-differentiated models that expand the foldable ecosystem to better adapt to the use needs of its users.
Artificial intelligence becomes the main differentiating element of the new range, with functions optimized for each screen format, automation between applications and a more contextual experience thanks to the collaboration with Gemini Intelligence.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8: a lighter foldable
The new Galaxy Z Fold8 is the big news due to its new and revolutionary format and form factor, positioning itself as the user-oriented model that seeks an immersive experience for productivity and entertainment in a lighter format. At 201 grams, it is the lightest Fold made by Samsung to date.
The device incorporates the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor, a 4,800 mAh battery and a main screen with a 4:3 format designed for reading, video and games. The exterior screen maintains more traditional proportions to facilitate daily use when the terminal is closed.
Samsung also introduces Flex Titanium technology, designed to reduce device thickness, improve screen strength, and minimize crease visibility. The screen reaches up to 3,000 nits of brightness and incorporates Vision Booster to improve outdoor visibility.

In the photographic section, the Fold8 integrates a 50 MP dual camera system, functions such as Dual Recording to record with both screens and new automatic tracking capabilities through My FanCam.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra: the foldable for professional productivity
The main novelty of this Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra generation is that it transfers the Ultra experience to the foldable segment. The device incorporates a large 8-inch interior screen, a thickness of just 4.1 mm when open and a weight of 215 grams, maintaining a format designed to replace the laptop in certain work scenarios.
Its photographic section takes a significant leap with a 200 MP main camera, a new 50 MP ultra wide angle, improvements in Nightography and 8K video recording using the APV codec. Samsung also adds tools aimed at content creators such as Cine LUT to make cinematographic adjustments directly from the mobile.

In terms of performance, it also incorporates the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor, accompanied by a 5,000 mAh battery, 45 W fast charging and a new graphite-based cooling system to maintain performance during intensive editing sessions, multitasking or AI applications.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8: FlexWindow is the protagonist
The Galaxy Z Flip8 maintains the clamshell format, although it comes with a thinner and lighter design, weighing 180 grams and 6.1 mm thick. The main evolution is in the FlexWindow exterior screen, which becomes an interface prepared to execute artificial intelligence functions without having to open the phone. From there it is possible to access contextual information, use Gemini using voice commands, consult personalized recommendations or initiate actions between applications.
In photography, Samsung incorporates a 50 MP main camera with ProVisual Engine, new FlexCam modes for hands-free captures and tools such as FlipShot, designed to enhance the creation of selfies and videos from the external screen.
Galaxy AI gains prominence
The entire new Galaxy Z series features a more advanced version of Galaxy AI, expanding automation and contextual assistance features.
Among the new features are Now Brief, which offers personalized information according to the user’s context; Now Nudge, which proposes actions related to conversations or events; and deeper integration with Gemini Intelligence, capable of working between more than 40 compatible applications.
Samsung also introduces Gemini Notebook, a space where you can gather documents, images, notes and recordings to automatically generate summaries, reports, infographics or documents using artificial intelligence.
Reinforced security with Samsung Knox
The company has also reinforced the privacy section through Samsung Knox, Knox Vault and the new AI assistant Activity panel, which allows you to know what actions the artificial intelligence is performing and manage the associated permissions.
The new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip8 are now available for pre-order in select markets. Samsung is accompanying the launch with six months of Google AI Pro, including access to Google’s advanced AI features and 5TB of cloud storage.

Along with these new smartphones from the brand, the new generation of smart watches also arrives.
