La Almoraima, a 14,000 hectare farm located in the Los Alcornocales Natural Park (Cádiz), has achieved a significant technological transformation by migrating from an obsolete ERP system to Dynamics 365 Business Central in the cloud. Thanks to the implementation of this solution, promoted by the consulting firm Aitana, the farm has increased its productivity by 10%, automated more than 500 accounting entries and optimized its operational processes, which has led to an improvement in efficiency and has ensured operational transparency in its activities.
ERP system obsolescence
With a wide variety of productive activities, including livestock, agriculture, cork exploitation, rural tourism, hospitality and hunting activities, La Almoraima faced great operational challenges due to the obsolescence of its previous ERP system, Dynamics NAV 2009 R2, which no longer had manufacturer support and had high maintenance costs.
“Dependency on an obsolete server limited our ability to modernize and face the challenges of a state-owned public company,” explains Sebastián Haro, head of Administration at La Almoraima.
In addition, the farm had to guarantee transparency in data management to comply with regulations and external audits.

La Almoraima needed a system that centralized and optimized the key areas of its operations, from livestock to hospitality, ensuring fluid integration between the different productive sectors. After evaluating the available options, they decided to migrate to Dynamics 365 Business Central, a modern solution that offers advanced functionality and manufacturer support, eliminating the risks and costs associated with the previous system. The migration process, carried out by the Aitana team, included the planning and execution of a standard methodology that allowed all data and customized functionalities to be transferred, ensuring a fluid and uninterrupted transition. The top priority was ensuring the integrity of historical data, essential for the transparency required by a public company.

This has resulted in a 10% increase in team productivity, freeing up time to focus on more strategic and value-added tasks.
