The arrival of Nebula 20.10, Zyxel Networks’ cloud management platform, helps managed service providers (MSPs) and midsize businesses simplify network operations and security, resolve issues faster, and support more users and locations with limited technical resources.
As businesses grow, network administrators can become overloaded with repetitive tasks. Employee changes, password lockouts, problem diagnosis, and hardware replacement often require manual intervention or even an on-site visit. For MSPs, this increased workload can put pressure on technical teams and reduce profit margins. Nebula 20.10 transforms many of these manual processes into more efficient workflows, providing administrators with easier access management, greater network visibility, and faster response to issues.

Simplifying secure network access
The new version of Nebula 20.10 introduces new identity-based access capabilities that make it easier to provide the right users with secure access to services. Key new features include:
- Nebula Identity Federation Service (NID FS): Administrators can integrate Nebula Control with third-party identity providers such as Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, and Okta. Employees can use their corporate credentials to securely access company WiFi and VPN services without needing to create separate accounts. In multi-user environments, such as shared offices, users from different organizations can connect to the same WiFi network using their respective company credentials.
- Centralized identity management: Both MSPs and IT teams can federate multiple identity providers through Nebula and implement access policies across an entire organization or branch office simultaneously. This reduces repetitive setup, orphaned accounts, and the overhead associated with account management.
- Secure passwordless access: It is now possible to log in using passkeys with credentials created through the Nebula Cloud Authentication Server (NCAS). This reduces password reset requests and improves protection against credential phishing attacks.
Proactive problem solving
The new version of Nebula 20.10 from Zyxel Networks also gives administrators a more complete and clear view of the network environment and helps MSPs optimize monitoring tasks across multiple clients and locations.
- Advanced Network Technology: Nebula provides a real-time visual map that shows how devices are physically connected. It can now also display configurations including VLAN segmentation and link aggregation, making it easier for teams to verify configurations and troubleshoot potential issues.
- Centralized event logs for MSP: Managed service providers can view event logs from multiple organizations and sites from a single location, eliminating the need to review each environment separately and streamlining diagnostic tasks.

Reduced downtime
Nebula 20.10 also simplifies hardware upgrades and replacements, saving administrators from having to configure devices from scratch.
To proceed with one-click device replacement, network managers simply unplug the existing device and plug in the replacement. Configurations and licenses are transferred automatically, eliminating the need for a complete configuration and helping to reduce network downtime.
With these new capabilities, Nebula expands its automation, identity management, monitoring and incident resolution functions, with the goal of making it easier for IT teams and MSPs to manage increasingly complex networks with the same technical resources.
