HP has just announced a new pair of business printing families aimed at transforming corporate document management: the HP Color LaserJet Enterprise 4000 and X400 Series, along with the HP LaserJet Enterprise MFP X728 and Color X778 Series. Both ranges have been developed to optimize the connection between physical and digital workflows, protect organizations’ sensitive information and substantially simplify device management by Information Technology departments.
As companies intensively integrate paper processes into their IT architectures, managing printing infrastructure poses new challenges of technical complexity. A recent study from the company, called Workflow Wakeup, reveals that 78% of small and medium-sized businesses surveyed admit to having difficulty effectively managing their hardware and supplies. This situation has changed what organizations demand from corporate technology, demanding solutions capable of increasing overall performance, reducing downtime and automating repetitive tasks through centralized maintenance tools and Artificial Intelligence.
According to Pedro Brito, general director of Printing at HP Iberia, business printing is part of an increasingly connected technological infrastructure, which fundamentally transforms expectations about these devices. Brito points out that the current priority goes beyond increasing printing or scanning speed, focusing on simplifying processes, anticipating possible incidents and protecting data throughout the equipment’s life cycle so that the technology requires less human intervention and increases employee efficiency.
More versatility with HP printers
To respond to environments that require maximum versatility in contained dimensions, the multinational presents the HP Color LaserJet Enterprise 4000 and X400 Series range. Designed for small work teams that demand professional color, advanced cybersecurity and intuitive use in a compact A4 format, this family significantly increases performance compared to its predecessors. It achieves print speeds of up to 35 pages per minute, offers an expanded input capacity of up to 1,400 sheets and, in its multifunction versions, allows you to scan double-sided documents in a single pass at a speed of up to 80 images per minute.
Computer security constitutes a fundamental pillar in this proposal, especially in a context in which specialized consultancies such as Quocirca warn that 70% of SMEs have suffered a breach or loss of data linked to their printers in the last year. For this reason, the series integrates the HP Wolf Security ecosystem and has protection architectures prepared to resist future threats based on quantum computing. It also includes tools such as HP FutureSmart, HP Web Jetadmin, HP Workforce Experience Platform, HP Security Manager and HP Smart Device Services, designed to monitor and update the fleet remotely. To speed up digitization, it incorporates searchable PDF formats as standard and the option of editable OCR on the
For their part, the HP LaserJet Enterprise MFP X728 and HP Color LaserJet Enterprise MFP These solutions combine the A3 format with a scalable platform that reaches print speeds of 31 pages per minute and an automatic double-sided scanning rate of up to 120 images per minute on the Color X778 model, allowing high volumes of information to be processed instantly.
The great innovation of this A3 series lies in the direct application of Artificial Intelligence to document management and preventive maintenance. The equipment is capable of automatically identifying, extracting and structuring the data contained in invoices and corporate forms, also converting the scanned files into operational Word, Excel or PowerPoint documents. At the same time, the HP Smart Device Services platform uses AI-based predictive algorithms to continuously monitor the health of hardware, anticipating breakdowns or malfunctions before they disrupt the organization’s activity. The range is completed with HP Workpath Apps and HP Open Extensibility Platform connectivity solutions, as well as quantum cybersecurity and centralized integration systems common to the brand’s entire business catalog.aa
